Monmouth game notes are up, nothing jumped out at me, balanced offense, defense was eaten up in 2nd quarters last year
August 29, 2016 at 5:40 pm #27649what??? dont see any game notes
August 29, 2016 at 6:03 pm #27651I suspect that this meant Monmouth’s notes. They are up, here:
August 30, 2016 at 3:07 am #27653Can someone please link to the LU game notes when they are up?
August 30, 2016 at 11:22 am #27657I’m so confused on what the D coaches are doing. interesting to see this 2 deep, especially the secondary. I dont think they have they mind made up on anything with gameday approaching.
August 30, 2016 at 1:17 pm #27658I will go ahead and post my LU offense preview here:

And defense:

Going to work on breaking down Monmouth either today or tomorrow.
The big theme I have for the defense is the fact that all twenty-two members of the two deep need to forge a common identity. For too long they seem to be entirely separate units.
August 30, 2016 at 1:23 pm #27659mystery of 2 deep should be solved later today, game notes generally issued on Tuesday afternoon
August 30, 2016 at 3:28 pm #27660August 30, 2016 at 4:34 pm #27661Mystery solved. Question remain. Botts certainly didn’t stand pat.
Barrett off roster. Caveness at 2 at NG.Nace and Kauffman at 2 at DEs.Wilson at 2 at CB
Hopefully this equatescto a better D.
Now to read the O. So much more relaxingAugust 30, 2016 at 4:57 pm #276624 Frosh on 2 deep including one starting, have we ever seen that before, especially week 1?

August 30, 2016 at 5:09 pm #2766810 fr and so on D 2 deep. Young with spotty depth . Do hope that all th frosh moved up becayse they were that good and not just because everyone else sucked. O’Neal and Wilson certainly seemed to have earned the nod. Nace is just that good. Kauffman Scout team MVP for D.
August 30, 2016 at 5:40 pm #27669I’m giving this version of our defense a real chance. Last year, the offense was being ripped on this board and there were call for the OC head.
This year the defense is far more size appropriate. The depth is not decimated as of yet and they had another year to understand the system. Most of all, they’ve heard all the chatter about last year so they have something to prove.
I just can’t wait until Saturday. -
