We head up to Worcester on Monday for an early Game 11 (everyone else will tip on Wednesday) to face the Crusaders. The gang in purple sport a 3-1 home record in League play this year, having already put down: Loyola, Army and Lafayette. Their loan loss at home was by 14 to Boston U.

Lehigh has lost their last four (3 heartaches and 1 otherwise) and the blame rests squarely on the “D.” What other verdict can you reach, when you give up an average of 84+ppg while shooting lights-out yourself?

    Our Last 4
    L to Navy 75-77 while hitting 3’s @ .545 and 2’s @ .480
    L to Loyola 88-91 while hitting 3’s @ .480 and 2’s @ .474
    L to Army 81-93 while hitting 3’s @ .424 and 2’s @ .419
    L to Colgate 72-76 while hitting 3’s@ .415 and 2’s @ .381

Need more reasons? Consider these four game totals:
    Rebounding: -16 (4/game)
    2nd Chance Points: -25 (6.25/game)
    LU Personal Fouls: 80 (20/game)

May our “D” play inspired – maybe even boring at times – team ball tomorrow night. Knowing the recent dependability of our “O,” it may be enough to lead us to victory. And, on the CBS Sports Network no less!

A win is a win at this point. Especially up there. We played pretty good defense for most of the game. Ross and Cohen were outstanding. Need that the rest of the way from Ross. Hopefully lance can get back by the Boston game. Glad we fought hard and got a win.

I only saw the last few minutes. Injured? Or illness?

Injury apparently but type not revealed.

    Well we played D tonite.
And we started to fade last 5 minutes but we didnt choke. A good game. The most consistent play we’ve seen in a while.

Hustle on defense and composure on offense. A lot better in the turnover department. But we did get a bit sloppy with the ball late, after building the 19 point lead, and it nearly cost us the game. And finally we had more shots the the opponent.

We have historically been bad to awful in Worcester, so it was great to see hard work pay off in this building. Individually, I hope this seals Cohen as a starter. And Karnick finally showed a fair amount of fight underneath (huge rebound at the end), though his line doesn’t show it. Great win for an improving young team.

Pretty impressive all around until last 5-8 minutes, when the young’uns nearly lost it under pressure.

Where has this team been all year?

I realize they were playing HC, but it was on road. There were some incredible stretches of quality O and D.

    Congratulations due …

D was a welcome sight tonight. Tough not having LT on O but it did help the D. KL coming off the bench with Bennett is the other factor IMO. KL has shaken the blahs and provides a lot of energy when he comes in.
