miss ’90 and his previews, but did anyone else see the game last night? Gators were leading Bucky by about 10 for most of the game only to choke in the last few minutes and lose on a 3 pt shot at the buzzer, we need to be prepared for a stifling defense right from the tip off, we play inspired D and I think we can win up there, sleep walk the first 5 minutes and time to go back to watching downhill skiing

    LUM (6 and 8) @ Bucky (12 and 2)
    BU (8 and 6) @ AU (2 and 12)

Bucky (now 12 and 2), following its thrilling last-second win over visiting Colgate (now 9 and 5) last night, all but clinched the PL Regular Season Title. In its wake, they leave 8 of the remaining 9 teams (I excluded 2 and 12 AU) in a dog-fight to see who avoids the need to play in the League’s dreaded “play-in” contests on Mrach27th featuring Teams ranked 7 thru 10 and who, along with the Bucknell nails down the right (top 4 finishers) to host a PL Tournament Quarter-final Round game on Thursday, March 1st. Presently, we sit 5th – two games out of 2nd (CU) and one game behind two teams holding down the 3rd and 4th spots (BU and N). It should be a thrilled-pack run of 4 games beginning tomorrow night up in Hamilton (NY).

As for tomorrow, unlike Mr. Pomeroy, I like our chances to upset the home-standing Raiders and extend our winning streak to 5 games. One, you go to think the home team will be a bit bummed – if not tired and downright besides themselves – after their showing last night out in Lewisburg and you got to know this rematch has been on our mind, especially the coaches and players, since laying an egg (down by as much as 28) at home before losing by 4 on January 17th. Since then, we’re a respectable 4 and 3 and have, over the last 4 games (all wins), seemingly fallen in love with an energetic and, at times, stifling Zone D. At the same time, we’ve upped the ante on Offense since beginning our winning ways (see below).

    FG% .479
    3FG5 .530
    TF% .902

    It should be fun.

It anyone is attending in person, please post your courtside observations. Thanks!

A tough away game. One difference I see is we are now more consistently playing as a team on O and D. Prior Gate contest was our early season habit if digging a huge hole first the attacking frenetically to pull out a semi respectable loss ( We’ve had way too many of those games over the years).
Agree if we show up with the same focus as the last few weeks, I think we have a real shot at getting the W

I went up to Lewisburg last night and saw Bucknell-Colgate. Like a dope I left,
with half the crowd, with 32 seconds left. ‘Gate had the ball with a 10 point lead. The rest is available here:

A video-by-video breakdown of Bucknell’s miracle last-minute comeback win over Colgate

But what I saw before my ill timed exit was officiating that allowed The Raiders to turn this into hand to hand combat. It took Bison completely out of their offensive rhythm. A really ugly first half ended with ‘Gate up 31-20. 2nd half was more of the same except Bucky finally hit some shots and ‘Gate completely lost composure in the last 20 seconds.

I would expect more of the same from Swopshire & Company tomorrow night in Hamilton if they can get away with it. A lot of grabbing, pushing, and flopping. We have to match their defensive intensity from the start, and remain composed, error free on offense. Not exactly nuggets of wisdom as that’s the formula every night. But this is a verry winnable game…..

Thankfully I didn’t leave, although I thought about it. Comeback wasn’t quite as miraculous as stated however – but still hard to believe. Colgate had the ball up 10 points with 55 seconds left however. And Colgate still had an 8-point lead with 22 seconds left – just before Bucknell scored.

yeah, quite a choke by Colgate, but not as bad as our 6 straight turnovers against Loyola in just under two and a half minutes to force OT and an eventual loss

Will be very interested what type of Colgate team comes out tomorrow to start this game. Will they come out upset and angry and play really good basketball. Or do they show up like they got Their hearts ripped out vs Bucky. I think they come out hungry. It will be a tough task for us up there. Already not an easy place to play. But right now we are also playing some of our best basketball right now. I think a big key tomorrow is we need production from James on both ends of the floor. Also would like to see Kyle have a big game.

Karnik needs to slow down and finish his layups, opps almost always score after his missed lay ups

really nice game all around, the zone D is really paying dividends, not many easy buckets for gate all night, nice lift from Wilson, any idea when Cohen will be back?

That’s 5. We played a whole game. Wilson was unconscious. A great team effort. Got the bad taste of WBB game out of my system.:)

    Getting pumped for March

I started watching in second half when Gate pulled within TWO points.

I was incredibly impressed the rest of the way.

In addition to what some of you all said, there was good movement up front when we had the ball, setting up open shots and drives to the basket.

There wasn’t a lot of size on the court — which helped LU. I love how they closed out the game on the road, BIG TIME! Great confidence.
