Let’s nail down the #2 seed with a win tonight! But, for those who dream big, here’s how we end up #1 (as mentioned far above in this thread). Simplly, we need a number of things to happen. That’s the bad news. The good news is that one has already gone our way.

1. BU must lose to Army — they did!
2. BU must lose to HC — tall order, but we’ll see
3. CU must win at LC – not so impossible to believe
4. BUCKY must win one – not two – of their final two
5. LU must sweep their final two

Bucknell beats Lafayette 83-80 in double overtime.

Lehigh has clinched the #2 PL Tournament seed. Here is what has to happen for Lehigh to get the #1 PL Tournament seed:

1) Lehigh beats Army AND
2) Navy beats Bucknell AND
3) Holy Cross beats Boston U AND
4) Colgate beats Lafayette

Lehigh also seems to play well in Lewisburg. Additionally, Colgate has a good shot at getting the #4 or #5 seed, and could play Bucknell in the PL quarterfinals. The Red Raiders beat the Bison twice this season.

I think the 1-seed might be gone. I think. American beat Navy tonight, and I think that guarantees BU a share of 3rd. Bucky swept them, and we don’t have a sweep in the mix to offset that. Unless I’m doing this wrong, I think a 3rd place tie between BU and Colgate could happen, which would be a wash. But then the tie-breaker could fall to our records vs. Loyola (7th place!) – whom Bucky swept.

A Boston U/Colgate tie wouldn’t be a wash because Lehigh swept Colgate and split with Boston U (3-1 record) while Bucknell swept Boston U but got swept by Colgate (2-2 record). The #1 seed is still in play, but it is a slim shot that requires 4 games to go the Mountain Hawks’ way.
