While Baylor was tough to watch, this game is a must see. Assuming a Pitt win over Fordham in the 6pm prelim tonight, a win over the 0-1 Colonials put us back into the passenger seat (not the driver’s seat) in route to a possible date on Thanksgiving Eve in New York’s famed Madison Square Garden. A loss to RMU, no matter what were to happen the next night against either Fordham or Pitt, would send us home to Stabler to host NIT ‘also-rans’ on November 19 and 20. How quick the ugliness of Waco could be forgotten with a W out in Pittsburgh tonight.
RDU Game One’s 54-79 loss to Rider
13 for 51 (25.5% fga)
4 for 20 (20.0% 3fga)
Points in the paint: RMU 16 – RID 36
BUT, reports are that Robert Morris returns 92.2 percent (2,334-of-2,532) of its scoring, 86.2 percent (1,150-of-1,323) of its rebounding and 88.8 percent (443-of-498) of its assists from last season. The Colonials are led by redshirt senior guard Velton Jones, who paced RMU in scoring (16.0 ppg), assists (167) and steals (68) last year en route to 2012 All-NEC First Team accolades.
Tonight’s Probable Starters for RMU
22 F Lucky Jones (6-6, 205, So.)
24 F Vaughn Morgan (6-6, 235, Jr.)
1 F Mike McFadden (6-8, 220, Jr.)
2 G Velton Jones (6-0, 170, R-Sr.)
3 G Coron Williams (6-2, 170, R-Jr.)November 12, 2012 at 4:56 pm #7908

Well BJB story is another whole freeking mess..kid has concussion issues, and he is flying across country to texas, WHAT? Then now back in phily, I thought flying with concussions was a bad idea, any MDs on the board. Seems we miss managed that one as well.
Man – tonight feels like a must win game, which isn’t obviously the case, but minus GK against a top notch NEC team we could be in trouble again…oy vey…oy vey….not using that extra scholly, if this was a big time program, reed would be getting crucified….crucified…but it is LU so its just about 5 of us who are upset on here!November 13, 2012 at 12:28 am #7918
13 minutes ago from lo’re….game time for GK…BJB per earlier post back in Bethlehem.

Aw, 00 , I do enjoy your intensity and the resulting mood swimgs. Season tickets doubled and kids on camlus back into Bball. Old alums really dont have Bball tradition. Heck over my yrs I dont think we won as mamy as last yr. Polaha and Queenan started Bball here. Some ups and downs but Joe has made it a priority.Just keep with it. Build it and they will come.November 13, 2012 at 1:06 am #7920
