Having trouble with this post. If a duplicate, please excuse.

    KenPom Rankings and Projection

    Lehigh (2-2) #95 (was #111)
    @
    Arkansas State (4-1) #211 (was #218)

    Lehigh wins by 2 (73-71)

Biggest Upset in NCAA Basketball This Year
If we had been able to beat Xavier in Game 1, this might not be an issue. But, as reported by Matt Norlander of CBS Sports, the honor goes to Arkansas State when ranked 274th by KenPom they defeated Georgetown (ranked 58th) by the socre of 78-72. Oh yeah, Arkansas State never trailed and was once up by 22. Tu rub salt into the wound, the word on the street is that the lost cost G’town $95,000 (“Buy/Guarantee Game” fee).

Battle of the 3’s on Sunday
LU 44.6% on offense and ranked 8th in the nation
    vs.
A-State 22.9% on defense and ranked 5th in the nation

    Unique Lineup – Committee Approach

A-State will probably go with a “small” but experienced 4G/1F lineup featuring 2 seniors, 2 juniors and 1 freshman. The newcomer is 6’8″ Salif Boudie. And, no one o the bench tops Boudie’s height. But, the roster is 13 deep and to date everyone has scored (eight with 5 or more ppg) and everyone has pulled down a rebound (seven with 3 or more rpg). And, size seems to mean little to the Red Wolves as they own a 196-126 edge in points in the paint this year.

    Will Rest be a Factor?

Lehigh – 1 day following a 250 mile bus ride from Starksville, MS to Johnsboro, AK which was preceded by an 11 hour (door to door) journey from Bethlehem to Starksville.

Arkansas State – 4 days at home following an easy win over SIU/W.

    Two Teams on a Roll

LU: Back to back W’s over Princeton and Arkansas State by a combined score of 163-140 while shooting .545 (overall), .567 (from 3), and .917 (from the line).

A-State: 4 W’s in a row including 2 over Top 100 teams (G’town and Chattanooga) while shooting over the past two games: .558 (overall), .520 (from 3), and .707 (from the line).

Just got in…it’s early but Lehigh has taken 8 shots, 7 fromm the 3 pt line, only 2 have gone in. AS must be packing the inside on Kempton again.

watching this game, looks like these guys had some of the same stuff that the football team had, poor shot selection and step slow on D

It does seem like Lehigh athletics ingested a bit too much tryptophan over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Congrats to those who decided to save $4.95 and not tune into the game. WE ARE SLEEPWALKING ON O AND D. SPIRITLESS. Tim stayed away from the paint for the first 14 minutes and then – too little too late – headed to the rim. We’re 4 of 16 from beyond the arc. A-State hitting 58% overall and 50% from deep.

Hell of a comeback in last 4 mins. We cant expect to beat good teams only playing one half and not the other.
Boxscore ebtire squad in foul trouble tho guess a lot of those in last few minutes.

I’m guessing the team was probably a little too hyped from their strong performance against Mississippi State, plus playing consecutive long distance road games without going home between the games can be rough. Hopefully this game was just a blip for Lehigh.
