not to steal 65’s thread, but I watched the first half of Gate-Bucky and Raiders can play some tenacious D, our guys will be challenged

One thing that works in LU’s favor is the fact that Colgate played on Monday, giving them only one day of rest/prep time between games. Last year, PL teams that played Monday went 0-10 on Wednesday. That included two losses by Bucknell. And, of course, it is tougher if the Wednesday game is on the road. Bucknell also had the Monday game – on the road – and plays at Loyola Wednesday. There is a reasonable chance for a Loyola win in that game.

Despite the encouraging words from Biso137, let me remind all that Colgate is 2 and 1 on the road in PL play, having posted W’s over Holy Cross and American. Their loan setback was Boston U. by 14 points. No sin there. We fell to the Terriers up in Beantown by 11.

    Last Night Up in Hamilton

    As reported by the AP…..
Thomas, Foulland lead Bucknell to 63-51 win over Colgate
HAMILTON, N.Y. — Zach Thomas had 17 points and 15 rebounds, Nana Foulland scored 13 and grabbed 11 boards and Bucknell beat Colgate 63-51 on Monday night for its fourth consecutive win.
Stephen Brown added 10 points and Kimbal Mackenzie scored nine on 3-of-5 shooting from 3-point range for Bucknell (11-8, 5-1 Patriot League). The Bison limited Colgate (8-9, 3-3) to a season-low 27.1-percent (16-of-59) shooting.
Bucknell scored the final seven first-half points to pull within 25-23. Foulland converted a 3-point play to cap a 19-3 run that made it 50-34 with nine minutes left. The Raiders made 1 of 8 from the field and committed five turnovers during that stretch.
Sean O’Brien led Colgate with 14 points and Jordan Swopshire added 11. The duo hit 6 of 11 from 3-point range while the rest of the Raiders made just 1 of 15.

PA is certainly getting in a groove…the promise of his talent is starting to materialize.

If PA takes Rayman or Swopshire, who gets the other, could be a big mis-match for one of the guards

this game is a real litmus test for me, at home, with Gate playing Bucky just 2 days ago, there should be a lot of effort and focus and a win

Raiders scored 51 against Bucky at home on Monday, 50 against us tonight in the first half, these guys seem to sleep walk through the first 5 minutes of every game

42-18 with just under 4 mins left in half. Cant watch this crap. No D .
Script is we come out in 2nd play frenetically to yet another deceptive semi respectable L.
I’m done. This is a waste of my time. WBB is at least competitive and less frustrating then this.

Too little too late. Can’t play 20 minutes. Giving up 50 at home in the first half is a disgrace.

Familiar script for us. Dig a huge hole. Spend rest of the game frantically trying to catch up. End up with just another frustrating L.

Message to self: 1. don’t get down a gazillion at half; and 2. play small ball with PA at center and four guards. Forget defense. Put your best 5 on the court and let the chips fall.

Team showed true grit in fighting back.

And how would you describe the 1st half??
This group showed its best and worst tonite. Problem is we do the same game after game. Ridiculous.
