KenPom Rankings and Chance of Winning
LU (5-2) 67
FDU (3-3) 318
LU wins 89-64 (96% chance)
This will be FUD’s 7th game of the year and their 7th straight contest on the road. You’d expect a tired but happy bunch to roll into Stabler tomorrow night after first visiting to Ohio, Illinois, and Texas. Happy in that they have strung together three wins in a row and after this will play their next four at home. Their three loses were to Top 100 teams; their three wins were all against bottom quartile opponents. So, what are we to expect? It would be easy to say, let’s go with Pomeroy’s bold 25-point win projection. It seems to make mathematical sense, but I’ll temper that enthusiasm a bit and say we win by 12 and like last year it won’t be a cakewalk. My fears are well-founded. First, any team that features 5 double-digit scores and can roll out 10 guys with double-digit minutes can often spell trouble. And two, my memories of being on hand for our first encounter with the Knights last year down in Teaneck, NJ. While we won the damn game, it wasn’t easy. Their stars that day were Rochford, Boulding, and Robinson. They’re all back and a year wiser, leading their team in minutes, points and rebounds. Last year, Rochford outplayed Gabe and Holden with 15 boards (9 offensive). It was a game we won – not by out-rebounding them (we didn’t 38-43) nor by out-shooting them (FG% 38.9% vs 37.5%), but by getting to the line. We converted 26 of 30, they “couldn’t get a call” and went 4 of 10. Beware.
Let’s show our support and get to the game!December 1, 2012 at 12:32 am #8224
Nothing better then logging onto LSF and seeing a Game Thread started by 65! The man takes his responsibility seriously, and I love it.December 1, 2012 at 1:05 am #8225
Yup, I read his preview rather than LU’s. Concise, correct and interesting.. Now to win. Should be a solid win. To boxscore, inorder I check CB’s numbers, next minutes for CG and DC.December 2, 2012 at 12:30 am #8237
Man this is over….total domination….LU all over this club. This is Sacred HEart type shooting performance.
Hope goldy gets minutes, Conroy man just can’t fing stay on the court, 2 fouls already..unreal man.
Also, for 8 bucks per video to watch LU, can we not have a pause button…sucks taht this simple feature isn’t available.December 2, 2012 at 12:31 am #8238
Prediction, DC gets on the board tonight…December 2, 2012 at 12:36 am #8239
Would make my day for DC and Stags to score. For a school like ours not to have best video is pathetic.
Better than nothing is not adequate.December 2, 2012 at 12:43 am #8240
NEC had pause button and it was FREE…joke..DC in…let’s go.
Goldy and Conroy racking up fouls..its amazing these two and their fouls.December 2, 2012 at 12:45 am #8241

Bryant beat army by 11, that game looking much much better…baylor beat UK, so that is good for us. Got to keep baylor and Pitt rolling ot make those losses not look at bad by end of year.December 2, 2012 at 12:51 am #8244
Now to get Stags on the court and some points. Heck get Goodie out there too. First bury them further to start 2nd. CJ gets His Points.December 2, 2012 at 12:56 am #8245
Baylor 25th and Pitt 10th on kenpom….but Pitt losing by 8 to detroit at home at the half..blah.December 2, 2012 at 12:59 am #8246
Yeah, run CJ and Gabe for maybe 6 minutes tops this half and let DC get 10+ minutes this half…Goldy as well, if he can stay on that long without fouling out!December 2, 2012 at 1:40 am #8247
