He has committed to Middle Tennesse St for his grad transfer. Wish him the best luck. Lehigh was lucky to have him.

Wish him well. Lots of incredible receptions to remember but my favorite will always be the one that clinched #Rivalry153.

Sad, but good for him to potentially take his game up a notch and get a chance to play Georgia.

    Probably more economical.

When Lehigh loses kids to Middle Tennessee, maybe they should not have been at LU in the first place.

It would be interesting to see what exactly went into his decision-making, like an exit interview.

Had LU had a legitimate shot at winning FCS next year with an amazing D, maybe his decision would have been tougher.

(Evidently still bitter about the past several years of defense with no savior in site.)

My understanding is that he was not eligible for a redshirt year under PL rules. PL allows a player to redshirt for medical reasons only. Since Casey did not play his freshman year (not due to injury) he is eligible for a redshirt year at other schools and conferences but not at LU or PL. I could be wrong but thats my understanding.

By “not play” do you mean Casey was on he team, and practiced, but was never considered one of the 6-8 best wide receivers, who would dress for a game. Or was he just not part of the team in anyway?

In either case it does make his (post graduation?) transfer a necessity if he wants to play. Consider that the wrestling team got Marshall Peppelman from Cornell because he missed a season with injuries. Unlike the 7 real Ivies, he could have competed at Cornell in a 5th year if he did not graduate on time.

Or maybe, like several other players like Lexi Martins, Lehigh just didn’t offer the post grad program he was looking for. I wouldn’t read too much into this.

He was finished at Lehigh and any PL school.
