So far, so good. O struggled for most of the half, but came up with an excellent 2-minute drill for a 60-yard march down field for a TD. I think that might be the first time they’ve done that this season.
Earlier, scores came off a BU turnover and good field position when BU went for it on 4th down and failed. A fourth possible score was thwarted when LU turned it over inside the 20.
Kicking game continues to be suspect, with two missed EP attempts, although the second one went our way when Hudgins (sp?) picked it up and ran it in for two points. A freshman came in on the third attempt and made the conversion.
Colvin was hurt (leg?) and will be out for the rest of the game, if not longer.
D continues to look good despite finally giving up a TD.
21-7 LU at half time. I’ll take it! JJH

Barketreal tough kid, he does not want to go down. Clark still short arming the ball too much. D superb. Finlly some throws to TE. Drwal getting open at will. Walker starting to look a bit like 2 years ago. OL not good. Too many penalties. Pas protection ugly.

*** Yes, I should have mentioned Barket. He looked real good even though he didn’t get the score. The pressure will be on him with Colvin out. JJH

I would think Campbell will be back next week, too, as he was dressed today, but not used. That will give us some decent depth, which is greatly needed. Clark’s passing today seemed much better (despite some short arm passes) and a decent run game allows the pass game to open up.

Of course, now we have a ‘kicker controversy’…Randazza’s kicks have had a low trajectory lately. Seemed okay earlier in the season, but now in a funk. The frosh has a strong leg, but needs consistency.

He was consistent enough today. 3 for 3 on EP’s Not definitive, of course, but promising. JJH
