I have a hard time figuring out what could be done with the D, LG harps on CBs but they seemed to cover pretty well today, gave up over 300 yds on the ground, DL? LBs? Safeties?

Ps…..Colgate did have a D, They had TWO goal line stands that stopped LU from scoring, THAT was the difference in the game. ColgatevD made plays whenvthey HAD to, we couldn’t.

Welcome to the Big 12 (AKA Patriot League), where defense is hard to come by.

If this team doesn’t figure out how to play defense, it will never be better than a 6-5, 7-4 team. It is a damn shame that the offense had to try to put together a heroic drive because the defense thinks it’s playing flag football.

With even a semblance of a defense, this could have been a championship year. As bad as Colgate was on defense, it still stopped Lehigh twice inside the 10 yard line.

Andy really needs a win next week. Any positive vibes from the previous few weeks will be gone. 5-6 with three straight losses to the Leopards, including a 1-9 team, has to be unacceptable. Normally next week should be a no doubt about it win. With this mess of a defense and the psychology each team coming into the game, it is anything but.

Agree Hawkineer. Even the announcers questioned the 3-3-5. We even run it on the goal line. Pathetic. Even a pee wee team has a goal line D. Botts should be in trouble.

I couldn’t agree more with the assertion that Nick’s passing had nothing to do with today’s outcome. Unless, Shaf can play LB, DB and catch punts, he had nothing to do with the loss.

However, it is the responsibility of this coaching staff to make a fair assessment as to who is the best option at QB for 2016. The short arm throws and inaccuracy at times needs to be considered in that outcome.

Come on, “the kids” get over these games much quicker than you would think. Guaranteed most of them will be doing what any other 20 year old student is doing on a Saturday night…drinking and looking for some ladies.
