Is it really true? The Hooptime page says yes. Coach K. from HC is gone. I come back later, need to read to scoop.

It’s true. If you read the Worcester area coverage, it’s not just because they lost a school record 22 games this season. The AD says they had to make a change if they were going to be better next season. They think they have the players to win the league next season, if they put them in the right system.
I must say they did get bad in a hurry this year

I think they want Donahue or Rice, and they think they can get them. That’s the only explanation. The timing of this as the coaching carousel has been spinning out of control the past week is just too coincidental.

Think of the high-academic people that might now be available. Amaker? Donahue? Even the recently-deposed Al Skinner is in play. Skinner, becoming coach of BC’s ancient rival? It might be HC’s best opportunity.

Another possibility is that Ralph Willard might return, as opined by the New York Times.

I read several articles. Many people are being laid off, but he gets a nice package. If he has a family, this may not be good for them. The coaches mentioned, except for Williard, are unfamiliar to me. They are most likely quality coaches after the last hire.

The HC board has pretty much exploded with the sudden firing of Kearney, speculation swirling about Ralph Willard returning, and the bungle that the AD appears to have made of things. (Too early to call it a bungle yet, but it’s one weird situation over there.)

I was thinking, though – if Ralph Willard comes back to the Crusaders, will he become the Jay Leno of the Patriot League?
