January 6, 2012 at 3:22 pm #4442Anybody going to be in the arena for this one?
January 6, 2012 at 4:21 pm #4443The game’s at Holy Cross, so I think it’s safe to say the arena will be pretty empty.
Since HC is still on break, I doubt the Hart will be very full either. My guess is not much over 2000.
January 6, 2012 at 6:54 pm #4445Actually, I meant is anyone from the board going to be up in Massachusetts for the game?
January 6, 2012 at 8:26 pm #4446Oh. Sorry. I’ve never considered the Hart to be an arena. It has its charm but not very arena-like.
January 6, 2012 at 11:21 pm #4450It is a high school gym, it is awful, and yet we lose there almost every time…I think 12 of last 13 or something like that, championship year was only time we beat them in ages up here in MA….I’ll be there manana….
January 7, 2012 at 2:19 am #4452To each his own, but I definitely prefer the Hart to Stabler when it comes to watching a game.
January 7, 2012 at 3:57 am #445300, enjoy the game and keep us updated and give us a recap. I don’t fear HC these days. HC under Ralph Willard was one thing, but Milan Brown doesn’t strike much worry in me, especially this year. If Devin Brown is controlled, Lehigh wins by 8-12. This is a good barometer game with a top half team on the road. If Lehigh wins by double figures, they make a statement that they are the team to beat this season. Regarding Stabler, it is lousy because nobody shows up, the place is dead and lacks atmosphere. But, as an arena it is nice and very big for a school of Lehigh’s size. 6000 capacity is pretty good for PL level team and it really is the only place in Lehigh Valley to see an event. I have seen much worse around the country as far as the physical plant goes.
January 7, 2012 at 6:54 pm #4458About to leave, bison137 – no one arguing hart better atmosphere to watch a game, but even the loyalists in worst-er would say stabler is 10X the facility…
HC scares me, just cause we always lose there…90 – couldnt have said it better myself, huge barometer game on road vs good top half team in spot we always lose at….huge game, send message to league.
LUHoops00 – about to enter enemy territory.
January 7, 2012 at 8:19 pm #445900, not comfortable either. Key may very well be to do as Yale did in their victory, i.e., control the paint (40 to 22 pts.) and outrebound the Crusaders (44 to 25). I do look for Greiner, Knutson to have big games agaisnt Dudzinski and Beans – see this as a key to our victory realizing you can only hope to slow down Evans and Brown and never really stop them.
Clued to Patriot League All-access. Keep us infomred from courtside.
January 7, 2012 at 9:14 pm #4460Ouch, down 17 last first. What happened?
January 7, 2012 at 9:19 pm #4461Here’s the update, one word, embarassing…embarassing as it gets. Exactlyt like last year getting run out of gym. Reed quote of day when he pulled starters after giving up 17 before or around first timeout. He said andto starters "17, 17, that’s 170 pace, have some pride." Didn’t do much good, gave up 47, defense a joke. How we weren’t ready to play out of gate is a joke. I hate this place, we just suck here.
Got one half to get going, I believe, but this was just embarassing.
January 7, 2012 at 9:25 pm #4462Gettin’ smoked at the half 33-47. HC "raced" to a quick lead – down 10-24 before the 12 minute mark. Even but poor play followed. Couldn’t have been more wrong about Gabe and Holden out-playing Dudzinksi and Beans. The latter have a combined 15 pts and 12 boards. CJ 8 pts. on 3 for 12. Problem from 3……..LU 1 for 7, HC 5 for 9.
HC speed !! HC 16 on fast breaks.January 8, 2012 at 6:53 am #4468"lehigh90" wrote: Ouch, down 17 last first. What happened?
Not playing team ball. Starters or some starters too focused on trying to get those points to get their records. Look at the game notes. When they play team ball, we win. Comes down to X’s and O’s or as some say coaching. Feel free to disagree, that’s what I saw. On a positive note, good time to get it out of their system, HC wanted it more.
January 8, 2012 at 7:04 am #4469Now let me see if I can stop being pissed. This team went into this game thinking they could turn it on when they wanted. HC jumped them and never took their foot off the gas. Now hopefully they will enter every game thinking they can get beat!!
