Interesting interview. Seems like he is building program at Valpo.

It’s been a really slow process so far for Chick but hopefully they are beginning to turn the corner. They have had 9 wins in his 3 years there. 4 of them were against Div 3 schools. 2 of them were against perennial FCS doormat Davidson and 1 each against Stetson, Butler and Jacksonville St.
The bad news is that the program was in carnage when he got there, so there is only one direction to take it. The good news is that they play in the worst conference in FCS, so there is absolutely light at the end of the tunnel. His team now is very young so I see continued improvement over the next few years unless…..there is a job open in Easton.

Evil thoughts. BTW, I think you meant University of Jacksonville…JSU a bit different. (;-)

He is making progress. 5 yrs minimum to turn any bad program around. Harder in Pioneer with aid restrictions. I compare his roster now with Valpo the year he took over. A lot more kids from Fla now. He is getting more talent. Has yet to get his QB to run his O. Once he does Valpo will soar.
Over on Pard board they are looking at him as a possible HC there and Phil as his OC. Ugh.

You knew his name would come up. Hope he stays in Valpo.
