According to Groller this AM, Rugg and Short dont look good. Caslow was a shoulder. Bunch of Dr appts today,I’m guessing.

Groeller also said Short & Rugg are outside LB’s and the team was 39-9 over the last 3 years so don’t put too much stock into what he says. He knows less about what’s going on with the team than we do on here. He’s a hack that shows up for 10 min of practice once every few weeks and claims to have a pulse on the LU program.

Rugg out, Short/Caslow MRI today & Brandon continues his minor bruises…. Newton not a 100 percent… more as it develops.

Tough luck for Shane his whole career w injuries. Tim getting doubled and pounded. Someone needs to step up. Not too optimistic for Short. Certainly not for this week. Gonn be a novel 2 deep.
    Thanks chip.

Timmys problem is that he has a motor that doesn’t stop until the whistle blows, a huge heart and a desire you can’t teach. Those type of players take their share of pounding, but will not give up. Reminds me of a SS from last season. Hope Caslow is not a tear, but I thought Kondas played well.

Agree on Tim,still need to stop double teams. Do that he gets pounded w results. Kondas a very good ILB,with his own saga of injury. Still think he and Colt iside ,Robb and Ripanti best set we can field. Sadly w/o a fix for DL wont help as much as it should. Some are laying the problem on bad D recruiting the last couple of yrs.Certainly wish it was better on DL. Out of all thosd bodies you’d think we could fashion an adequate DL.Think ,az I have last 2 yrs that we have talent for a 4 man.

As far as DL recruiting (day dreaming here)…………..Sajjad came in as a 250lb freshman and left as a 290lb beast. If we can find a player similar it would still take a couple years to become that beast. I really like what many have suggested about an O lineman moving over. If so, we are 5 months away from that change.

Yeah,Andy unlikely to make such an experiment before Spring. At this point hoping we come out of OOC 2-3.

We will know tomorrow or Wednesday. Rugg out is big. Caslow out would be bigger. Here’s hoping he’s not in too bad shape.

Short, torn Meniscus and ACL. Out for the year. Tough for kd. Rehab is not easy from this. At least 6-9 months.

Wow. Big loss. Hopefully the #2 center is able to step up. Very tough position to fill with the responsibility for calling the blocking schemes.

Does it seem to you that this year in football — NFL, too — there are more injuries than ever before? Seems like LU has been hit pretty badly. And think of the guys hurt in the spring, during camp …

    Maybe it’s just me.

No,not jyst you. Training camp last yr was bad . This year not o mych. A lot of hamstrings. Kelsey in particular. In season,it has been overwhelming almost. Dont recall ever having OL so decimated.
Past years QBs injuries were the story.
