Came across this, and it is remarkable watching it, you feel like you are watching a CJ video reel. Same number 3, and very similar game, just a tiny bit smaller and quicker. He has a lot of game. I think it is NAIA competition, but he is head and shoulders above the other players. He put up over 2700+ points in college. He needs to teach CJ that sweet fadeaway jumper. Also read he is putting up big numbers in the Israeli pro league.

You are definitely right about the similarity between the two brothers. So many of the same moves, even noticed the initial dribble on the fast-break looked exactly the same. Also, never quite realized this before, but after watching the video, both always dunk with two hands. I can’t ever recall CJ trying to throw it down with one hand. Fundamentals. They clearly spent hours upon hours together trying to perfect their games together.

Found some stats on the listed 6’1″ Errick – he leads the Israeli National League in scoring with 24.4ppg, while shooting 58.5%. Also about 8rpg and 3.3apg. Top 10 in the league with 2.2spg. So very much a well-rounded player like CJ. The entire top 10 in scoring in the league are American players, mostly smaller D1 schools, though #6 on the list is Marcus Ginyard from UNC – he was the only name I really recognized. It will be fun to keep an eye on him, he is still only 24.

I am no expert on European basketball, but I think the best Israeli team(s) don’t play in the Israeli league. I think they play in Euroleague. I’m talking about teams like Maccabi Tel Aviv, who is the best Israeli team. So, he is probably playing against the best in the Israeli league, but far from the level of Euroleague. I, too, recognized that first dribble in the open court, and the two handed jams. Errick has some hops, and quite a shotblocker for a guard. He would have looked good in Lehigh Brown and White. I don’t know much about Goshen College, but he was probably same as CJ, undersized and neglected by the bigger schools.

I think Jerrod Mintz from Lafayette is playing in Israeli league. Marquis Hall is putting up some decent numbers in Iceland. Ojo is averaging double figures in the UK, and Buchberger is in double digits as well.

Actually, more I look at this, it looks like there is an Israeli Premier League, which is the top teams, then Israeli National League, which is like the Second Division. Then there is Euroleague where Premier teams can also play. I guess it is similar to English soccer, with multiple level leagues, and probably relegation and promotion. So, Errick is on a lower level, second tier team. With those numbers, I would think he would be moving up.

Yes that is the same conclusion I came to regarding the Israeli league. I looked to see what Errick did last year, and he actually played for a team in the Premier League, but did not get much playing time, about 6 minutes per game. No idea if he had a 1 year or multi-year contract, was traded, or anything like that, but he seemed to certainly be one of the younger players on the team. So I’d bet it was a bit of a tough transition and he will parlay his more prominant role this season into a better team or league next season.

Thanks for sharing,a bit quicker than CJ, nice fadeaway. Good for both young men.
