This may be the ultimate throw of the dice. Injuries have kept him well under the radar although he had several offers after his junior year. It will be very interesting to see how well he plays with Brewster Academy this year.

    Welcome aboard Jack.

All the articles say he is in the class of 2015. So he apparently reclassified after the injury. No reviews on the major recruiting sites, but plenty of mid-major offers, though nothing from A10 or higher. Certainly a big dude. Welcome to Lehigh Jack Lieb!

added later: Thank you TMH. Correct info is he’s prepping this year, not-reclassified.

There’s the other forward! Thanks Rich! Had a solid offer list before the injury. Found an article with a bit of info on his decision and a touch of scouting info.

CoBL article on Lieb already – I’m guessing they saw this one coming!

Really excited about this commitment for a few reasons. Lieb has a solid list of mid major offers, most of which came in the spring AFTER the acl injury – so I think that is a real positive. Also, the fact that he is doing a PG year at Brewster is huge. It’s another year for physical development and also playing (and practicing) against top notch competition. One of the major concerns in the 15-16 season was the frontcourt depth after JG and JC graduate. The additions of Andree and Lieb behind Sedore and Holba means a significant increase in the likelihood at least a pair of them develop well. Add in the fact that Lieb will be a sophomore age wise, and coming off great prep competition – he should be more ready than most bigs to contribute early which will be needed. Very excited to track his PG year at Brewster.

Bum, could not agree more. Hopefully, he blossoms at Brewster against great competition.

Just reading an article on Brewster Academy. This is supposed to be a down year for them but they have 10 players expected to go D1. Go figure.

Wonder whether that reflects Brewwster’s strength or the level of their competition? Guessing their in a tough conference.

Is this our last recruit for 2016? Verbal Commits has us with one more available spot.

I’m hoping to see one more, Jim. Hopefully a shooting guard. I do think that we have one more available, but that’s no guarantee that we’ll use it. Could possibly even be used for a WO.

The ongoing enigma of sholarship numbers :) A shooter would be nice coming off the bench. Depth may be an issue this year. Hope BA comes back next year. For me, I would like another SF behind MH .
