Not to set off any alarms but early signing period ends on Wednesday. Has anyone noticed whether Ross has officially signed a LOI yet?
November 18, 2013 at 12:59 pm #12234Found this, I think we’re OK:

December 30, 2013 at 3:40 pm #12812Kahron Ross’s Jonesboro squad is off to a 10-2 start. They lost a game handily to one of the best teams in Arkansas, and then lost the final of an elite national holiday tournament last week.
In the eight team tournament Ross had 14 points and 8 assists in the quarters, 25 in the semis, and 15 in the losing effort in the final (47-44). In the semis, Jonesboro beat DeSoto from Texas which is a perennial power and was the #1 ranked 5A team in Texas heading into the tournament. Ross was named to the all-tournament team.

December 30, 2013 at 9:46 pm #12817Very encouraging weekend for Ross, that win over desoto was huge! High on Ross, very high on him.
December 31, 2013 at 3:06 pm #12823Agree Hoops. I think Ross is definitely going to be a good one. The real question for me isn’t how good he is, but how his presence will affect MS and to a lesser extent Tyler Jenkins.
Watching the Bryant game last night, I was thinking that this team doesn’t have a wing that can get to the basket consistently. If Jenkins is really 6’2 and athletic, could he be that guy? Or will he be a backup at the 1?
January 1, 2014 at 12:48 pm #12829I tell ya SBum, been doing the same thinking lately. I think KR and MS will be a great battle at the one, we’re in good hands at the point. You read reed quotes on TJ and he hyped in as defensive guy, never been a real scorer, but he is another guy from a top level program that knows how to win, and we’ve been filling up on winning kids from big HS programs of late. Will be interesting if he can be an AD type wing with better D, but he too has run the 1 a lot I believe.
I love MS, when that Maynard kid kept getting to the rim the other night I wish Reed had given MS a shot at him, MS has quick feet and has shown to be a pretty good defender so far….MS is getting underutilized right now IMO, will be interesting to see what happens from here on out…
February 11, 2014 at 3:54 pm #1359024/7 sports has updated their rankings, including those of Kahron. Although they don’t have him as committed to Lehigh (no worries, he already signed his LOI), they rank him as the 61st best point guard in the country according to their composite ranking system and 57th in their own system. Keeping in mind this is just one list, and I don’t know their criteria, but Kahron is ranked ahead of point guards headed to West Virginia, Texas A&M, Utah, TCU, and many others. http://247sports.com/Player/Kahron-Ross-20512
Yahoo/Rivals also has him as a three star prospect and Scout has him at two stars.
