Bay League lacrosse rivals Tom Farrell of Mira Costa and Zack Fixen of Palos Verdes continued a haul of postseason awards.

Farrell and Fixen were selected as United States Lacrosse All-Americans for the second straight season.

Farrell, the Bay League MVP, tallied 36 goals and 60 assists to help Mira Costa capture the Bay League title and advance to the U.S. Lacrosse Southern Section final for a second straight season. He will play at Lehigh University this fall.

I look forward to watching Tom Farrell and J.P. Walsh (another USLAA All American), the 2 blue chippers from Canada as well as the rest of the recruiting class over the next four years.

Not to take away any luster from these fine athletes but All-American status is kinda lax (pun intended) when dealing with Lacrosse. If I am not mistaken there were 211 who earned that designation last season in a sport that is only played competitively in 20 states.

Wow what a class. :D LI, Ct, Canada, Cal etc I realize may take a season to work everyone in but an awesome group. We were close last season we will ertainly be bigger deeper and more talented this coming season, if not as experienced.
