Was up at Stabler for today’s game. Little disappointed in the crowd. It wasn’t bad, better than normal, but I expected a bigger draw after Bucknell win. What a great day for the seniors on Senior Day. JM and JA played great games, and JH contributed as well. JA and JM were forces today. Great to see that for them on their regular season home finale. GK was honored pregame as latest to score 1,000 points and they had about 10 other 1,000 point guys there for ceremony. CJ is quickly approaching 2,000. CJ was great today, extremely efficient on the offensive end and a string defensive game as well. Really everyone played well. HG still hampered by injury, and in postgame lap he was noticeably limping. Best minutes of the year for BB. 7 points, one 3 ball, good hustle, and one miraculous follow up lay up after a miss. Other thing I really liked today was perimeter D at 3 point line. They held Mower, who is a great shooter, to zero points, and very few looks from 3. Willen played well for Pards. He’s a nice player. But, they also held Delaney in check from 3. MM controlled ball and tempo well today. Better decision making. My only concern today was Tony Johnson, PG for Pards, got into the lane at will and finished some. He was able to breakdown MM and CS at will. Mackey a little lazy at times. But, all in all, a strong game, never in doubt most of the way after Lehigh ran out to quick 11-2 lead early. With Bison losing again to HC, thing looking up. How about that, Bucknell 10 points in the first half.

This was a great game. As they say, anything can happen on any given night. LU, I am proud of the team, especially my seniors!!! I look forward to next year as the team is deep. Just need to play TEAM BALL. Go LU!

Anyone watch the BU/HC game on Pat League Access??

Wow – that was brutal. Bison put up 10 points in the first half, then HC almost blew the game. Must have been poor officiating up in Worcester.

Solid effort by the MHawks Saturday. CJ was fantastic…thank God he gets every call and has the refs in his pocket.

Random sidenote: let’s all cheer for my first coursin Aaron Baddeley out at Torrey Pines tomorrow. Only two back and going for back to back wins at this tournament!

At the beginning of the year, with the loss of KM, we all spoke about how big JA and JM were going to be for LU off the bench to help out the front court. Never in a million years could I have predicted how big these two would be for LU down the stretch. Both of them were unbelievable last night, leaving announcer to forget that JH was even part of their class, which is classic cause JH has been starter all year and captain of team. JA doesn’t even hesitate on the 3-ball, just popping from everywhere, and JM showed his nice assortment of post moves and hustle. With the diminished role of HG due to ankle, these two have filled in and then some. CJ was great last night, MM got to the tin when he wanted which is standard operating procedure cause PL guards can’t contain MM off dribble….my boy BJB is chipping in with critical minutes, huge minutes off bench and consistent minutes off bench, exactly what AD and SC haven’t done all year. BJB is superior on defense and this swap has been huge to round out rotation. BJB plays hard on defense, shown enough with the jumper from 3 and more importantly hit the glass and is another plus athlete for LU. That runnign tip in was insane last night…love HC with the win, this is getting interesting..

    GO LU

Spotted Pussies never in the game. A very solid game despite the typical lull that occurs from time to time. McCollum looking very relaxed, and the front court is starting to assert itself. Looking good with an American win over BU this week and Mountain Hawks taking care of business.

I am not surprised by Maneri and Adams. They needed a shot and now that they have it, they will produce. Physical is my guy Maneri, banging with the big boys from Laf yesterday. This can get interesting. Gotta keep playing tough DEFENSE! I hope Greiner can get himself healthy. We need him down the stretch. I can’t say enough about this guy, I have always believed in him, especially after seeing his play at Boston C. Oh yeah, PL is getting interesting. I feel for the next team that has to play BU.

yes, JA was huge two years ago in Championship run, we knew he had this in him. JM has stepped it up, JH has had a disappointing senior year norcal, no matter how you cut it. He is basically just spot up shooter from corner and that is in on offense, and he is shooting 3 ball ineffectively for most of the year. I think he is a more of a 15 minute guy right now, not much more, and would love to see more minutes to JM/JA/BJB…..these 3 coming on so strong gives reed some great line-up options. We have some versatile guys who we can exchange in and out for one another.

The team is playing well as a whole. To win, they need to keep trusting each other. BJ, the guy I was referring to earlier has been an absolute thrill to watch. Sometimes I confuse Adams and him on video, similar builds. Maneri is a beast, banging hard. I recall the game where a guy kicked him and he jumped up really fast. I was like wow, that guy is quick and strong. I am excited for the team, especially the seniors!! TEAMWORK AND DEFENSE wins games!! As for JH, he was chosen as captain, so we will have to live with it. Practices may show something different or Reed does not want to look bad by changing the rotation. I say do what Paulsen did, put in who can get the job done!
