Dominating W. D was superb. Caveat Cross O w/o Pete not a real threat.
Brags a breakout day. OL controlled LOS.October 22, 2016 at 8:17 pm #28923Excellent workmanlike victory today setting up the big showdown against Fordham next week. Mayes passing off a little bit in the first half but overall he played very well. Big game by Brags and the defense.
October 22, 2016 at 8:41 pm #28925Ok now on to THE game against a real team. All the marbles, lose and go home. Win and get sized for rings. By the way I watched Lafayette and Bucknell on RCN, Lafayette is beyond awful, if their QB runs a 6.0 in the 40 I’d be surprised. Bucknell isn’t much better. Lehigh will beat both by a combined 100 pts.

The first Friday night game in Yale Bowl history turned out disastrously for the Yale football team, as Penn dominated nearly every facet of the game en route to a 42–7 victory.October 22, 2016 at 11:04 pm #28929[quote quote=28925]Ok now on to THE game against a real team. October 23, 2016 at 1:22 am #28930it’s just really great to not see posters on here ripping the D for two straight weeks! Next week is a huge challenge, but Georgetown slowed Fordham down, why can’t we? Nice job fellas on 6 straight.
October 23, 2016 at 1:47 am #28932Agree M.
Rams a challenge but one we can beat at home. Ram D not much better than last years. We are.
O is Edmunds. Andersin not nearly as effective with his new WRs. None match up to their last yr crew. They are however a solid squad with a very good QB. We haven’t faced a good QB since Princeton.October 23, 2016 at 2:51 am #289331) THIS WEEK: Great overall win today, especially in those wet conditions.
O & D were great. Some impressive play calling and execution. Loved the pistol formation plays.
As someone else said, we faced off against third- and fourth-string QBs — and they were shaky. We could have given up some big gains had QBs been decent.
Loved how second- and third-stringers got lots of time. It will pay off down the road.
2) NEXT WEEK: Fordham QB Anderson out this week and their offense sputtered w/Nos. 2 and 3. G-town starting QB also out, and they got down to No. 3 at QB, too.
Anyone know if Anderson will be back next week? To me, he’s a game changer.
I watched a little of the Fordham game. G-town got some great penetration on FU O-line and hit Edmonds a lot in backfield, but he rarely went down easily. He gained 179 yards! Gang tackling essential to stop him.
Should be great game next week, but I’d guess LU should be favored. Not sure FU is that deep. LU hasn’t made too many mistakes lately. Will be critical to do same next week.
October 23, 2016 at 3:08 am #28934Anderson suspended by HC for game. We will see him.
October 23, 2016 at 11:14 am #28938once Edmonds gets to second level he is a beast, gonna be a real challenge for the D
October 23, 2016 at 11:42 am #28939Looking forward to the Fordham game. Who would have thought that a Lehigh-Fordham game would come to who has the best defense. I think that’s LU. If Lehigh “holds” Edmunds to fewer than 200 yards (like Georgetown did) LU should win. 17 points will not beat Lehigh. In this 6-game win streak LU is averaging 46 ppg
October 23, 2016 at 11:58 am #28943Fordham has a weapon or two, Lehigh has 5 or 6. Lehigh wins this by 3 TD’s. This game should draw 15,000 fans. On another note word is Tavani is out / “retiring” at Lafayette after this year.
October 23, 2016 at 12:26 pm #28944Chase is unstoppable IMO but he’s beatable. 3rd is key for us. If we can continue to get off the field on those 3rd and 4 downs we will be fine. That’s a big key for us.
I WANT WINNERS!!!

Hoyas kept it close by getting turnovers and Fordham penalties, keeping Edmonds below 200 was not the reason for the close score, although they did a good job controlling him until 4th quarterwe must tackle well to beat Rams, tackling has improved but still our Achilles heel, guys on D just play their assignments and make the tackles when in position and we will win
