A lot of notables missing (Hopkins, Virginia,  Syracuse, Carolina, Princeton, Duke, Loyola).   I guess we can assume that like basketball, it was hard to get the big boys to schedule Lehigh?

Penn State at a neutral site?  Not that familiar with LAX scheduling but that seems an oddity.

Heard rumors the neutral site against PSU is going to be at PPL Park in philly (the stadium where the MLS Philly Union team plays)…..

Heard a # of possibles for PSU. PPL sorta makes sense. As long as its not Denver, I’ll be there.

It has been confirmed by Penn State…lacrosse match vs Lehigh to be played at PPL Park.

I just starting getting emails from PPL Park about the Lehigh/Penn St lacrosse game (I am a season ticket holder of the Philly Union who play there).  They are calling it the Whitman’s Sampler Independence Classic at PPL Park on Saturday, March 9.  It is a tripleheader and features these games and times:

Game 1 St. Johns v. Syracuse @ Noon

    Game 2 Penn v. Villanova @ 2:30 PM

    Game 3 Lehigh v. PSU @ 5:00 PM

Tickets went on sale 12/3 and range from $25 to $45.  Not a bad deal for 3 games.  PPL Park is a beautiful smaller stadium in Chester, PA which sits on the Delaware underneath the Commodore Barry Bridge.  Capacity is about 18,000, and you sit very close to the action, with not a bad seat in the house.  Only problem with PPL is the location.  Don’t plan on getting lunch or dinner near the stadium or a beer after the game.  Stadium sits by itself, in a pretty dangerous area, with nothing in walking distance.

Ouch, March 9 is the Finals of the EIWA Tournament at Rutgers.  Can’t be two places at once. Looks like a great time.
