One last comment on Lehigh BB recruiting:

Entering the next season, LU will have two “big men” and a third who mostly plays outside and focuses on 3 point shooting. In addition, there will be another new player who has height but is thin and “raw” according to the commentary on this board. There is one 6’5″ + incoming freshman who appears to be an excellent but will not be a post up player. Away from them, there are many guards even after those that have transferred out. The explanations I have read include that it is extremely difficult to attract other bigger players because of the existence of TK and also that it is not unusual to have a guard centric team – 11 or 12 last year?
I looked at the Lafayette website. Their incomimg class has two power forwards – 6’7″ and 6’8″ and one 6’10” center – along with a 6’6″ wing and a 6′ guard. They join a team with a 6’10” freshman and two forwards (freshman and sophomore) that are 6’8″. The team will have six guards – two of which are 6’5″ and 6’6″.

Yes, LC has a lot of tall players on their roster – but two things:

    1. The tall incoming freshmen are not highly regarded prospects. They may earn playing time at some point but that is far from certain.
    2. All of their other centers are seniors – three 6-10 guys who haven’t played much in their first three years. The existence of those three wouldn’t have affected the recruitment of big men at all. Very different from having TK on the roster – or even JG.

Perhaps, the LC players are as weak as you suggest but they have made an effort not to overload one position.
In fact, Lehigh’s team had 12 guards last year. Two graduated and three left the program or transferred.
I hope we reorient going forward.

yeah we need to stop getting those walk-on guards, only ;big men can walk on in the future so the ratio is more even

Oh, and by the way, 137 knows his shit so if he says they are not highly regarded or have not played much you can perhaps take it to the bank
