Nice play by the younger underclassmen…Mayes, Dom, Micco, Gatlin, Troy, Mish, Tyler….LU football should be very entertaining over the next several years.

Mayes was impressive and today shows we can have an effective running game without a running QB. It was also nice to see some semblence of Air Lehigh back. He needs to be the man!

However if we don’t figure out how to stop the other guys, as others have said, we are looking at the Hank Small era again. The secondary is absolutely awful even with good pressure up front. The defensive back play and lack of any improvement is beyond perplexing.

Kudos to the entire O. No TOs,3 penalties.
D played a great 1st half. No show in the 2nd. Losing Robb hurt but 2ndary was reveling in 1st half job forgot to come out for rest of the game.
Kudos to Coach Botts for calling the Zebra D in the 2nd,kept 3TDs off the board :-)))

Offense was impressive, skill players are young and talented. Defense was good until Robb went out. Georgetown’s 27 was open all day.
Pujals must be salivating at the thought of attacking that secondary next week

No doubt Pujols is drooling. DBs have to play like the first half for a whole game, smh. Otherwise,Cross is u.remarkable. Pujols a true difference ,aker.

Glad we got the win. Mayes will be ok. Shaf better get healthy quick or……? Our D is pathetic. I dread 3rd or 4th down. Everyone knows we cant stop anybody. The secondary has np ball skills at all. Im confused as to why we play same guys. The 3-3-5 is comical. We never change D no matter what. We even ran it on goal line….lmao, and they scored with a pass smh

boy they really lit up Lawson in the second half, and McClosky never seemed to make a play

Yup,Hoyas targeted Lawson in the 2nd. Lawson is an excellent tackler ,very good at run support. He has never been a cover guy. Dont forget he was moved here after Lambert and Barrett went down. McCloskey got lost in the 2nd half. In any event,Botts has to tighten them up for a whole game. Seems we did very well in the first. Hoyas made adjusgmdnts ,we didn’t.

Comical..Just as expected from one…the same ol’ song.Some-(LU808,hawkineer,Rich,Hawktalker) are positive with the win. Most are down on Lawson, but IF you can’t teach a R position nor have personnel to play that spot, then DO NOT. Lawson is a safety at best. The future on O is very bright, Mayes ,Brags, and Pels are great. Love Shaf but as stated before, he is the Clark of 2009, and Mayes is Lum(air Lehigh) Coaches choice. And yes Rich, the other team once again made adjustments at half and we hung on.

Seems GU a perfect game for all. A win with great promise on offense for the future and with enough negatives on D to keep the negs happy for another week of bitching. smh

Lawson is out of position, but that is due to injuries. He’s more of a LB. Disappointed in some tackling, again. #19 tucked his shoulders rather than wrapping up and it hurt. Nolan is a good QB. I had my binocs and his fingers are extremely long. Should be a great piano player. If we ever get the D figured out we can have one heck of a team next year.

Dont blame Lawson. Botts kept both Ss on top. GU adjusted went unddrneath. Botts did not feact. Left Laswson on an island.

We’re playing without Githens, our best defensive back (he has two of the three INTs we have this season). The first two rovers also out. While we’re deep at WR and RB, not so much in the back end on D

Did anyone else notice that Colgate held Edmonds to 51 yards rushing? The difference between even an average BCS defense and ours is significant.

    The happy game recap:

Remember those days when a 27-0 win over Georgetown was considered disappointing?
