McBRIDE TO REPLACE BROWN ON PCL ALL-STAR TEAM: Sky Sox outfielder Andrew Brown was named to the PCL Midseason All-Star team for a second straight year (last year while with Memphis), as he leads the Sky Sox in home runs (13), RBI (68), runs (56) and total bases (156). Since the beginning of May, Brown leads all of Triple-A with 61 RBI, and has totaled the most extra-base hits (36) in the same time frame, while also leading the Sox with 70 hits since May 1st. Due to personal reasons Brown will not be participating in the All-Star Game and Sky Sox utility player Matt McBride, who leads the team in batting average (.341, sixth best average in the PCL) and hits (88), will replace Brown as the lone Colorado Springs representative at the Triple-A All-Star game in Buffalo, NY.
