7 home games and an experienced squad of his own players. This should be Coen’s breakout season. If healthy our only open spot is wr but a lot of size and speed if not too much experience.

Yes, with seven home games, one would think a few things should go in our favor after so many frustrating losses last year. I also agree on the WR situation. A lot of talent out there, but light on game experience. If some kids step up here, we could have a great year. Another spot to keep an eye on is P/K and the competiton between Randazza and Smith. A lot of games come down to special teams.

The other area that concerns me is running back. At least until the freshman arrive, we are very thin at the position. While Walker has shown a lot of ability, up to this point in his career, he also seems to be somewhat injury prone.

Keith Groller does his own musings on the subject in today’s Morning Call at http://www.mcall.com/sports/all-c1_groller.6829333mar24,0,4656452.column.

This WILL be an interesting LU season.

Bottom line, it’s eight wins or Coen will get hammered.

Jeez, could we wait to hammer Coen until he screws up. While I am not a big fan yet of him .I did see a lot of growth last year. He and we have a great opportunity this year. The HC game will hopefully be important.
