AnonymousFordham runs a 24 hold type defense. 2 high 4 kinda in the middle and runs 3 and 4 down with a mlb. You will see a player dropping down between the wil and mike lb. This is designed to confuse the offense a little. It will seem like a lot of guys in the secondary. Usually creates a lot of pick opportunities. If we run a lot of digs and outs we will expose this defense because it clusters a lot of guys from the hashes in. We should be able to hit on some one on one long stuff. Fordham getting a couple of there better players back from injury. Fordham qb is out. They will obviously run quite a bit with there very good back. I think they will rush for over 250 yards on us and control the clock. With Shaf still very questionable we may have to pass more. With a non running qb (for Lehigh) Fordham will be able to relax in the passing lanes a lot. This may not go as easy as I originally thought. We are better than them but as I watch film on them, they have a chance. 28-24 we win and we finally get that game we need to wake us up from this fantasy cruise we have been on. Dont start fitting the boys for rings just yet!!!This may be a barn-burner. GO LEHIGH!!!
October 28, 2016 at 2:59 am #29017Anderson is out? speculation or fact?
October 28, 2016 at 3:59 am #2901828-24 seems like a reasonable halftime score….
October 28, 2016 at 12:58 pm #29019Anderson playing.
October 28, 2016 at 3:15 pm #29020Did you infer that from the discussion on the Fordham fans message board?
October 28, 2016 at 3:17 pm #29021Yup.:-)

AnonymousfORDHAM MAY BE PLAYING THE QB SHUFFLE LIKE WE DO JUST TRYING TO CONFUSE US BUT I WILL BE SURPRISED IF STARTER PLAYS. I GUESS WE WILL SEE. MY SOURCE HAS HIM DEFINITELY OUT. DONT THINK IT MATTERS MUCH EITHER WAY. THEY RUN THE BALL 80 PERCENT OF THE TIME. GOOD BACK THAT WILL CAUSE US SOME ISSUES. I CAN SEE WHAT THEY TRY ON DEFENSE AGAINST SPREADS. I LIKE THE FACT THAT THEY ARE TRYING TO SHOW THE SHORT PASS LANES FLOODED. ITS REALLY A DECENT DISGUISE. 24 HIGH DEFENSE WILL BE INTERESTING TO FACE. ITS NOT LIKE ITS A NEW SCHEME THAT OUR COACHES HAVE NOT SEEN BEFORE BUT I LIKE THERE LIL WRINKLES THEY PLACE IN IT. ITS WHAT PENN STATE PLAYED VERSE MIAMI AND SHUT DOWN THE PASS GAME COMPLETELY YEARS AGO. BASICALLY A 3-8. IT SHOULD BE A CHESS MATCH AT FIRST BUT I DO THINK WE OUTMATCH THEM WIDE. LONG PASS CONNECTING EARLY WILL BE CRUCIAL TO BACK THOSE DROP DOWN PLAYERS BACK IN THE SECONDARY DEEPER TO OPEN SHORT STUFF. JUST MY OBSERVATION. ITS REFRESHING TO SEE A DEFENSE TRYING TO ACTUALLY RUN A CREATIVE SCHEME. NOT LIKE YALE,PENN,COLGATE, AND ESPECIALLY GEORGETOWN. THOSE TEAMS RUN YOUTH FOOTBALL DEFENSES AND LIKE I SAID BEFORE THERE ENTIRE COACHING STAFFS, CHEERLEADERS, MASCOT AND I WILL INCLUDE THE BAND SHOULD BE FIRED FOR IMPERSONATING A DEFENSIVE FOOTBALL TEAM. LOL GO LEHIGH!!!
October 28, 2016 at 4:19 pm #29023A lot of different opinions/fact on that board regarding this issue. I didn’t know who to believe.
October 28, 2016 at 4:22 pm #29024Not quite a 3-8
but they like to clog first level in 2ndary. CCaveat they rely on single ccoverage outside and deep.
October 28, 2016 at 4:25 pm #29025I’m going with Anderson. 2nd QB likely out injured. Hasn’t ppracticed this week. 3rd is a frosh
