Navy 13-12.LU great attack, pathetic D. Middies were again useless. Feel sorry for Matt.A shooting gallery every week. Virtually nobody in front of him doing much of anything to help. Denver and Army up next. Expect we will be 2-7 after that. Giving up over 10 goals a game and so far no improvement in D. Pretty much insures a losing record for us this year.
March 15, 2015 at 12:00 am #18956PL Lax is hit and miss. Expectations were high 3-4 years ago,but the PL has to compete with the ACC and many upstart programs.Big 10 Lax, with Maryland, will hurt middle of the pack teams. Recruits will look at facilities and attendance-and rankings. All are negatives with the PL. Lax is the fastest growing sport, so only time will tell.
March 15, 2015 at 12:12 am #18957True but has been so for the last 5-6 yrs. On paper ,Kevin brings in very good classes. We get a couple of top 100 kids every year. Issue this year is not competing with ACC for recruits. We are lising to bad teams. Attack is among tbd best in the nation. Our D middies and inside D are atrocious. Its a shooting gallery on Matt every week. FOGO has not been consistent giving opponents many more O chances. A big part IMO of D collapse is Callahan going to Dartmouth and the loss of Souder.Overall we have way too many unforced TOs. Disappointing as I expected we would be a solid team. Right now we’re a rolling cluster f*ck.
March 17, 2015 at 11:40 pm #18984Right now, wondering if D is as big of a problem as we thought. Leading Denver (pre-season #1) 3-0. Most significant difference? Different goalie.
Is it possible that Pollion’s off-season surgery didn’t go as well as hoped? We’ve all also heard stories about guys not bouncing back after an injury – mental edge issues. Is that a possibility? Looking at last two games, Pollion had 1 first half save vs. Navy and 2 vs. Nova.March 17, 2015 at 11:44 pm #18985Possible,I guess. Not as many quick acrobatic saves as in prior years. But,I have watched every game. The issue more often is a shaky inside D and too many uncontested shots on goal.
March 18, 2015 at 12:04 am #18986Appears that, as usual, I have no idea what I’m talking about. Ha! Denver with 5 unanswered.
March 18, 2015 at 12:10 am #18987Totally unrelated – but the LU promo that Karl Brisseaux voices is so, so very good. Probably the best university promo i’ve ever seen. 1:08:34 mark on the lax broadcast tonight.
edit: found it, on YouTube!

March 18, 2015 at 12:11 am #18988No todd,Matt may have issues. Denver is that much better tho. Last 2 exemplify our D problems. In technical terms ,our D sucks.Too many free shots in close.
March 18, 2015 at 1:01 am #18990Final 10-4 Denver. A bright spot we played them fairly even for 3,then collapsed in the 4th back to prior games poor play. Perhaps a small step forward. D was pretty good until the 4th. Here’s hoping we can repeat for whole game vs Army.
March 18, 2015 at 1:59 am #18992I’ve watched most of the games this year and the D has broken down quite a few times, but Pollion has not looked like himself either, bad combination.
March 18, 2015 at 3:04 am #18993You and todd may be right about Pollion. It doesn’t help for sure D. Even bigger issue is our FOGO. We are getting killed on FOs. Puts D under pressure more often and for longer periods. A point on D,other than Telesco ,our D is quite short and light. A major change from last year.
All that said,we played very well for the first 3,hopefully Kevin can get them to carry that over vs Army.March 19, 2015 at 12:15 am #19009I’m with ToddCudd on that promo and Karl Brisseaux’s voice. All I could find is he’s a Lehigh alum ’11. What a voice!
It’s extremely well done — frankly the highlight of the Lehigh sports scene this year LOL … (We’ll learn more on wrestling soon.).
March 19, 2015 at 12:21 am #19010Karl is in NYC working now. A very talented musician and savy Bball fan.
