4 to Go and……….
Lehigh is the only team that won’t hit the road over its final four. That is, unless you consider a 12 mile trip to Easton this coming Sunday a road game.
Chance of Catching Bucky? Sure, we can win-out and our friends out in Lewisburg could fall apart bu dropping their final four, but don’t hold your breath. The Bison could put an end to that dream with a win on the road tonight at Loyola.
Chance of Finishing in 2nd or 3rd Place? Now you’re talking! Of course, we must win-out or nearly-so and look for help from others – most notably, of all people, Bucky. The Bison are on tap to play BU this Sunday up in Boston and Navy gets Bucknell on the last day of season play, Saturday, 2/25. The PL Network could get a workout, as Lehigh fans hold out hope.
Finishing 8th, 9th or 10th? Out of the question. It’s impossible with 8 wins in the bank.
Back to tonight and things that should concern us include:
• Navy ranks 21st in the NCAA in scoring defense (63.2), 34th in rebounding margin (+5.8) and 42nd in turnovers forced per game (15.4).
• As a team, Navy ranks first in the Patriot League in rebounding margin (+5.8) and offensive rebounds per game (12.3). Navy is second in the conference in scoring defense (63.2) in turnover margin (+0.58).
• In conference only games, Navy is first in the Patriot League in scoring defense (59.7), field goal percentage defense (.412), rebounding margin (+7.7) and offensive rebounds per game (12.4). Navy is second in scoring margin (+7.6).
• Navy has had 12 different players score in double figures in a game this season. Finally, looking ahead to the Playoffs……….Here’s how the brackets set up:

February 15, 2017 at 6:44 pm #30734Yea really. Hate to say it. We lose tonight. They are to deep. And our offense hasn’t been playing well
February 16, 2017 at 1:15 am #30735Started strong….but the big double digit lead is now 4 pts @ 14:13 2nd ….another collapse in the making?
February 16, 2017 at 1:49 am #30737Now that was fun. We actually played a whole game and everyone showed up.Begs the question why dont we do it more often.

February 16, 2017 at 2:55 am #30739Yea I was wrong van. I jus wasn’t sure how we would respond after Sunday. Navy really played bad tonight to. I seen navy play a few times this year and they nave looked really good. Big win tonight tho
February 16, 2017 at 3:03 am #30740gate put a big scare into BU tonight but lost by 1, and Loyola beat Buffs by 1
things getting tighter at the top of the standings
Buffs and BU Sunday while we get hapless Pards and Cadets are at Navy Saturday, can’t let hounds catch us as they hold tie breaker and have a relatively easy schedule to finish the regular season
February 16, 2017 at 3:04 am #30741Awesome win tonight! Regardless of Navy’s performance. We had a say in their poor performance. That being said. Once again we can beat anybody who wants to play us man to man. Can we beat anybody who zones us?
