LOL,September 6, 2015 at 11:43 pm #21547Lehigh better have the D ready for JMU. Andy said they will run about 100 snaps…..lol. The D depth will be tested
September 7, 2015 at 12:55 am #21548they had 90 against Morehead in a blow out so 100 sounds possible, maybe we slow the game down a little to compensate? Not sure a track meet with those guys works to our advantage
September 7, 2015 at 1:05 am #21549Daunting to be sure .What is the goal? To minimize the scope of our loss or to win. A balance betwedn the two would be nice,if possible. Looking at last year. Track meet went well til D faded. Still almost pulled it out.We need to score to win. To score, can we run a conservative O to eat clock? Opinions?
September 7, 2015 at 1:56 am #21551Minimize scope of loss. Avoid injuries, blowout. Sorry for the negativism.
I’m optimistic about a lot of things with this team. Offensive play calling and pass defense are none of them.
I hope I’m surprised, but won’t hold my breath.
BTW: Did James Madison crush the team from Kentucky where gay marriage has become such a big issue?

September 7, 2015 at 1:57 am #21553think the key to winning this week would be turnovers, if the D can manage some and O gives none
September 7, 2015 at 1:57 am #21554No, a conservative offense with a limited playbook will not work vs a good team. This is AC and DF’s time to run a more wide open strategy that includes short and long passes. Runs up the middle against a packed box for no gain will lead to failure early.
September 7, 2015 at 2:26 am #21558Every game should be played to win. If I ever heard of a coach game planning for the purpose of ‘avoiding a blowout’ or ‘keeping it respectful’, I would call for dismissal. Yes, there are certain ways to approach JMU because of their weapons that keeping their O off the field as much as possible is critical. Not only should they not score, we are also giving the D a rest, which will be needed. Controlled drives, mixed up with both pass and run is needed. Even an occasional ‘gadget play’ would be great. No one is expecting us to win, so let’s go out there and try and ‘shock the football world’ just like some of our FCS bretheran did last week!
