Ok, now in right sport. Campus visits going full blast.

For a daunting context go to ESPN RECRUITING NATION football. Take a gander at ODU’s class of 22 commits 16 are rated ** or higher. . We dont even have that many total from last 4 classes. A rather long road ahead of ys.

We have had pretty balanced recruiting for the past few years.

We will need to get some quality DBs with 6 graduating next year.

Also, both FBs will be seniors next year.

    Always need QBs and RBs.

DL a particular concern next year, and a stud Frosh that could get in the rotation would be nice.

Other than that, continue with balanced recruiting with emphasis on some studs!

ODU might not be a good point of reference, they are moving up to FBS.  Suggest maybe Nova a good comparison?

My program to compare against is Delaware.  Tremendous academics, long storied football history, and also a former MAC member with Lehigh, Bucknell, Lafayette, and Gettysburg.  If we can recruit in their circles and get our share we are headed in the right direction.  We’ve lost a number or great kids to them after they went scholarship back in the 1970’s.

ODU is building something rather quickly.  The best player from my town, a safety in college, signed to play at ODU next season.  He held offers from Syracuse, Rutgers, BC, and many other big programs.  He even got visited by an assistant from Alabama.  This kid chose ODU with the hope that he can play immediately.  Jumping to FBS is a big move.

Agree , ODU not best to compare, forgot the move. JMU, W&M, Nova and.UD are better benchmarks.

And the Ivies, with merit aid we should be able to steal a few from H-Y-P.

Agree we s/b able to get a few from Ivies. Still will lose many more than we win. No pne had the $ to compete with H-Y-P.
Moreover Ivy national rep makesit much easier to recruit nationally. It is mot as if we need to get a lot. 2or 3 from IL and the same from CAA would be great each year.
