Looks like same 2 deep. Fordham will be tough. Columbia result deceptive. They also beat Cornell and Nova. This is a full schollie team with better coaching than they have haf in a while. A classic trap game off emotional win at Liberty. Will the 2nd half mystery continue?

    Here’s Fordham’s sked so far:

    Aug. 30 Lock Haven W, 55-0
    Sept. 8 at Villanova L, 28-13
    Sept. 15 Cornell W, 34-27
    Sept. 22 at Columbia W, 20-13

They lost to Nova, but I agree, this team will be no pushover.

Showers expected Saturday. Let’s hope that doesn’t dampen our passing game …

Cecchini needs to come up with a plan to get Spadola the ball! They guys was looking at single coverage frequently at Liberty and Colvin ignored him. Fordham D is suspect and should be yielding. D needs to stop Koonce and we’ll be okay. With strong secondary, our LBs should be able to really focus on stopping their run first and get them out of their comfort zone. Current forecast is partly sunny and 68-70 F. Perfect for football. Though not “official” this is the first “league” game and we need to make a statement.

I wonder whether it is Dave’s scheme or Mike coming off his reafs too quickly. Mike has been pretty good so far at not forcing pass into double coverage. He is still missing open WRs but again not as often as last year. Our basic pass play last yr was the pick over the middle to free either Drwal or Ryan. We dont seem to be running it as much this yr.

Think we may be missing Jimmy Jefferson more than we thought we might.   And tight ends and backs don’t seem (not sure if stats bear this out) to be in the passing game nearly as much, may be due to supporting OL more?   Need that third receiver to step up.
