Penn QB a pass first guy. Laub,DJ,Johnson s/b able to harass him. Penn WRs dont look to be as daunting as JMU. DBs gotta cover for long enuf for front 6 to get QB. Sacks and hurries are the #1 key this week, imo
September 16, 2015 at 9:53 pm #21835Agree Nick is our offence, does not have to be, I would put Nick under center with two backs and run something different for a change. Lets have some traps, counters, reverse plays whatever. Nick out of the shotgun with one back is to easy to defend. How about running the Delaware WingT? Brag should be a slot or wing back?
September 16, 2015 at 10:11 pm #21836Would be great Buddy. Multiple sets out of our old AIRLehigh O. Even going back to Whitehead’s version of the wing T. But,we are set in this O. We can run 2 back sets,FB and RB or 2 RBs. We’ll see what Folmar comes up with.
September 16, 2015 at 10:18 pm #21837Your right lets see what they come up with. With our small but fast offense the WingT would be perfect for this team.
September 16, 2015 at 10:22 pm #21838Any different play calling would be great to see . A few screen plays ,a reverse ,a TE screen anything but RB up the middle or QB up the middle .Spread the field out to make it hard for D to cover and maybe open some running room for the RB’s which then pulls in the DB’s and opens up pass plays .We can only hope !!!
September 16, 2015 at 10:29 pm #21839Agree holy.
One drasback tho Buddy,we need fast agile OGs to run his wing T.
Geez,Saturday cant get here soon enough.September 16, 2015 at 10:33 pm #21840You are correct, definitely need fast OG’s, they’re small enough they should at least be fast? Hopefully
Cant wait for Penn as well.September 17, 2015 at 4:05 am #21842`Interesting quotes from Penn HC about their D for us. The focus is on Shaf, not to sack him but to contain him. He wants to force us into 3 rd down situations by stopping the run. On third down,Proire states that Shaf makes one read then tucks and runs.
Gee,think Penn has figured out our O.September 17, 2015 at 4:34 am #21843I’m a Wing-T fan, too, Buddy. Like those screens HolyLoch suggested.
To me bottom line on O — regardless of who is at fault — is QB has to stop running 20+ times.
There’s no way O line is as bad as some people say it is (not that it looks pretty sometimes) — even with backups in there. Coaches need to find a way to take advantage of the strengths of the kids THEY recruited.

September 17, 2015 at 9:45 pm #21850Game Preview:
http://lehighfootballnation.blogspot.com/2015/09/game-preview-penn-at-lehigh-9192015.html
Game Breakdown coming tomorrow. Starting to get a bit worried about Saturday, mostly because Penn in 2015 is the quintessential enigma. They will bring energy and the unknown. How will Lehigh react?
September 17, 2015 at 9:53 pm #21851Penn’s game notes have QB Andrew Lisa listed as the No. 2 QB behind QB Alex Torgerson, which I have a hard time believing is the case when a redshirted sophomore in the form of QB Will Fisher-Colbrie (transfer from Colorado) is on the roster. Lisa doesn’t have a collegiate snap to his credit.
Torgerson is the clear No. 1. But I could also see WFC come on in a “surprise”, too.
September 17, 2015 at 9:56 pm #21852Surprising. Injury?
September 17, 2015 at 11:10 pm #21853LU better bring it. Scared that Penn is a passing team tho. If our Dbs slip in this game, changes better be on the horizon. No way we should lose this game unless we are terrible…..period. with that being said, im very scared for this LU squad. Get this win and its off to the races for us, anything can happen. Lose and season is in doubt!

September 17, 2015 at 11:16 pm #21855A must win absolutely LG. This is a no excuse game. Should be easy, probably wont be. Pass rush is the biggest factor. Penn will not be at game speed to start. Hit them early ,get ahead ,stay ahead.
