WE were NOT happy to see a player “take a Knee” during the national anthem at Yale today. My father served in WWII and was injured in 1944 with multiple injuries. This is a private elite school and the Coach must set the guidelines.

Please thank your father for fighting to protect our right to protest and express ourselves as we see fit.
And please take your politics elsewhere; this is a Lehigh Sports board.

I believe footech is a troll. If anything happened, it was not reported anywhere which is as it should be.

A player from each team took a knee. It was done quietly. No calling attention. This is a country based upon freedom. Taking a knee during the National Anthem has nothing to do with those serving in our military. It recognizes in a solemn way that the promises of our Declaration of Independence and Constitution are still in pursuit and not achieved. I know who took the knee for Lehigh but will not name him because of fear of people who would try to “do something”. It takes guts to go against the grain.

Wrong. I was there. No player sat on the bench.

I was there and will admit I DID NOT see any player take a knee. But there was a DB who sat at the very end of the defensive bench with his helmet on and did not move. Therefore there were at least two Lehigh players who did not observe the National Anthem !
