My hashtag for this championship game is #PrepareForWar. It feels like it’s going to be a physical, grind-it-out sort of game. Holy Cross also has to be emboldened by the sheer number of crazy postseason tournaments this season in the low- and mid-majors, with tons of 1 seeds going down. Lehigh isn’t a 1 seed, but they may as well be tomorrow, and they’ll have to #PrepareForWar in order to win.

Todd. I agree man. They have done a solid job for the most part. Esp late in the season here. Been a great atmosphere.

One crazy thing reiterated to me the other day.

No. 8 seeds can win conference tournaments, which leads me to believe No. 9s can win, too.

No. 8 Austin Peay in the OVC beat No. 2 UT-Martin, 83-73, March 5.

    Can’t take Cross lightly

[quote quote=25962]Just saw that over 3,200 tickets have been sold already.

Considering tickets for the game cost $22 excluding service fees (high cost for a Lehigh home basketball game) and the game is on a weeknight, that’s pretty impressive.

These kids and the program deserve a huge turnout. Really looking forward to tonight. Hope Stabler is rocking.

Guessing we’ll have around 4000 tonite. LU giving out more free tickets this afternoon on the UC lawn. W has decreed :-) that I have to actually stop fixating and go outside for the afternoon.

That would be biggest crowd for basketball in, maybe, forever.

I can’t find any basketball attendance records for Stabler.

Biggest Stabler crowd John Denver concert 6,718 (1994), then Grateful Dead 6,500 (1981).

Biggest wrestling match 5909 this season v PSU.

    Any idea basketball record?

Might it be “Just under 3600” as described in the above Morning Call article.

I thought 2010 PL final between Lehigh and Lafayette that Lehigh won. Although, if memory serves me, it was mostly Lafayette students as Lehigh on break. I can’t find an attendance figure for that game, but it wasn’t near full.

Thanks 65, that was my era, and I recall pretty big crowds often in that era (2500+).

Attendance for the 2010 final vs Lafayette was 4,259 according to the box score. Would like to see that number exceeded tonight.
