    Hurt his knee over the summer. Went home for medical consult. Looks like surgery.

    that’s a shame. does it appear that he may miss the entire season?

    Seems he hurt it earlier and had been rehabbing it but didn’t pass physical. If surgery ,he’s out for the year. My guess. Either way,it puts him to far back to really challenge now for 2-3 slot. McHale and Nick will battle it out

    For you football diehards for which I am not one, what are the odds that Shaf beats these guys out and becomes day one starter, 10 percent 30 50?

    Hoops – less than 10%, offense is too complicated for a frosh to start day 1. Would require injuries to both upperclass QBs.

    Not much unless there are a slew of injuries. McHale was an A-S QB in NJ, but he ran a run oriented O. Would not be surprised if Andy puts together a package for him, ala Mike, to get his feet wet later on in the season.
