November 28, 2017 at 11:30 pm #33123LEHIGH GAME NOTES
KenPom Prediction
LU (2-3 in D-1) – ranked 209th
@
Princeton (2-3 in D-1) – ranked 119th
Princeton wins by 9 (73-64)Numbers to Consider
The junior guard tandem of Cannady and Stephens for Princeton combine to average 32.8ppg. That’s 49.4% of the Tiger’s scoring.
Princeton pace of play (20.1 second average possession length …. only two teams in all of D-1 b’ball any slower) will drive you nuts if you’re not ready for it.
41%: The rate at which “3’s” fall for Princeton. That accuracy is good for 35th best in the nation. It’s also represents the share of all points scored by Princeton.
Ball Security: Lehigh shines in comparison to Princeton, with National Top 10 rankings in both Steals and Turnover percentage on offense.
After a slow and foul-prone start to this season, James Karnick has turned it around.
Rebounds: 11 in first 3 games…………….25 in second 3 games
PFs: 14 in first 3 games………….5 in second 3 games
FG%: 37.5% in first 3 games………..60.0% in second 3 gamesTrav, sorry I can’t get down to the game. I’ll catch up with you on the 6th when we host Yale.
November 29, 2017 at 10:36 am #33124Game is on Comcast’s NBC Sports Philadelphia in the Delaware Valley region, as well as Service Electric in the Lehigh Valley. I’ve got the DVR locked and loaded as I work to 9pm and unable to attend.
November 30, 2017 at 1:52 am #33125LU up 47-25 at the half. Wow. Ross and Leufroy are dominating Tiger Gs. Now lets not relax in 2nd and let them back in the game.
November 30, 2017 at 1:54 am #33126Cant leave out Cohen with 7 pts.
November 30, 2017 at 4:30 am #33129Solid win. Tale of 2 halves. First half great, second half shaky, hang on for good road win. Guard play very solid tonight.
4 wins so far in OOC. Pitt was disappointment but other games went predicted way. Looking at a one sided loss vs UVA next, but then 3 winnable games. Also, could loss all 3, but 2 at home. Yale would be a good win for sure. If we get to 7, I’m ecstatic.
November 30, 2017 at 4:50 am #33130Solid, solid team win. Obviously good night from the guards, but Karnick starting to blossom with 12 boards and 7 points. Bennett and Cohen also big time contributors. All very encouraging. Last acid test of the season coming up at Virginia. Then the last OOC, the holidays, and finally the main event: Patriot League play.
November 30, 2017 at 4:51 am #33131Big win on the road. Second half wasn’t to great but they hung on. Not sure what was up with pat. Took three shots and barely played. Say right behind bench he didn’t seem himself. Maybe sick. Not sure
November 30, 2017 at 1:54 pm #33132Lehigh will blow out Princeton but THE match is Sunday against PSU. SRO …will be a fantastic atmosphere.
November 30, 2017 at 2:26 pm #33133Solid win for sure. Nice to see Karnik coming along. Imagine if we had some overlap between guys like Knutson, Kempton, and Karnik instead of relying on one at a time? I guess that was supposed to be Lieb and Sedore.
November 30, 2017 at 6:48 pm #33134speaking of Knutson, Karnik kind of reminds me of him
November 30, 2017 at 8:48 pm #33135He does. A bit more active inside as a frosh than Knutson was as a frosh.
Doc needs to get him some help inside or he will wear out half way thro PL sched. -
