K MISHNot many surprises. Pelletier at PR hopefully just temporary. To me ,too risky to have your best player here. I remember Gardner. Fingers crossed that Kelsey and Anderson are up to speed by CCSU.
August 31, 2015 at 2:28 pm #21363I hope that is a mistake ,Pelletier at PR . That would be crazy to have your best WR return kicks . To easy to get hurt . Also do not like starting QB holding for FG”s and extra points .Why not a 2nd or 3rd string QB holding for kicks .
August 31, 2015 at 2:38 pm #21364A lot of good teams have their most dynamic player also return kicks. For example, Chase Edmonds. As for the holder, Shaf has pretty much always held for the kickers, even as a freshman.
August 31, 2015 at 2:50 pm #21365Not sure what it means but kinda amazing that all we have is nitpicking. Still dont like TP at PR. He is a WR not a RB like Edmonds.
August 31, 2015 at 5:19 pm #21368game notes are out, more Frosh on 2 deep than I can ever remember, but not a surprise, CBs better be sharp or they will be riding pine
August 31, 2015 at 5:35 pm #21369Wow,lots of frosh. Surprise is 2 on OL and a WR.
Knew we were going to be young. Hope these guys grow up quickly.August 31, 2015 at 6:14 pm #21370I heard Knotts is the main PR. He stays hurt alot, i wouldnt risk him back there either, he is a gamechanger though. Kinda surprised they have TWO freshman returning kickoffs, Kelsey injury really hurt him hes not on the two deep. Shocked he isnt returning kickoffs, did a good job last yr and hes not hurt. I thought him and Redmond was returning, wouldve like that duo better, i called for them two to return kicks last yr! Kee is out, no shock there. I think Nana is hurt. I like Cavenas as a NG instead of end, must be misprint. Agree the CBs better be ready, some young hungry boys ready to step in. Alot of FR on 2 deep. Shouldve took this strategy last yr, especially when the season was basically over.
August 31, 2015 at 6:29 pm #21371`No,Caveness at DE .Harder to double him. Like front 6 ,fingers crossed. I’m hoping Sasha in for JMU.See the idea of putting your best back on PR. But,if you have others capable to do it,I see no readon to risk TP or DK.
August 31, 2015 at 6:36 pm #21372where did you guys get the depth chart from, very interesting tho!!! I said a few months back that a lot of freshman would make the travel team just didn’t think so many… so excited.. I really believe these young dudes can ball, and was over looked in high school..
August 31, 2015 at 6:53 pm #21373Don’t know if it’s turned up elsewhere, but I saw the 2-deep in this Morning Call article.
August 31, 2015 at 6:58 pm #21374Game notes are up on site.
August 31, 2015 at 7:01 pm #21377My biggest surprise is that our leading returning sacker and TFL (Laub) did not make the starting lineup. I wonder if it was the Schuerman effect. Just saying.
Austin Devine is the backup PK and Mish is the backup punter. Any chance that is just to save a roster spot on the travelling team?
Agree with LG in that the practice I attended, Knott was fielding the vast majority of punts.August 31, 2015 at 7:10 pm #21378I heard Bragalone has not practiced in 2 weeks, out with foot injury so you may want to double check with your contacts, I know you think he is the next Messiah but common.
August 31, 2015 at 7:15 pm #21379Buddy,
I went to practice on 8/23. Coach told me both RBs were dinged but were expected back to practice on 8/25. Both looked healthy to me..walking fine.August 31, 2015 at 7:20 pm #21380As of yesterday both were OK.
