Various lines have us winning by 17-19, but I will be pleasantly surprised if this is a blowout…and a blowout I would absolutely love after last year. But a nice solid win by two scores and I will be satisfied.
November 19, 2015 at 5:51 am #23859Note that Cavenas is listed #2 at DE. At luncheon, Andy said he asked not to start as he feels more comfortable coming off the bench with the game already started. Considering the fact we basically rotate our DL, it really doesn’t mean much, but I find it somewhat amusing.
November 19, 2015 at 1:25 pm #23862Rich, why would we have the edge on ST? they havent done anything of significance all yr. The biggest play on ST that anybody can remember that was huge was the fumbled punt!
November 19, 2015 at 2:55 pm #23863think the Pards kicking game has been suspect, ours has been pretty solid all year

TDs not the sole measure. Great field position usually. Plus LC has multiple blocked FGs. No blocking.November 19, 2015 at 8:17 pm #23872LG the coverage teams have played extremely well all season. Khalif Raymond was a dangerous weapon and Mountain Hawk special teams neutralized him so badly as to make him a non-factor. Every game there’s been at least one KO return past the 35-40 yard line, even against JMU. Mish has a few misses but has won us several games.
They haven’t been perfect but for a college unit they’ve been great, certainly in the upper half in the PL and you could make a case for best.

November 21, 2015 at 1:39 pm #2390742-24 LU. I hope the D shows me better than that but … I can’t wait to see the offense play. Hopefully they will not be too cocky and make silly mistakes. Hope Mayes gets a shot at some point. They’ve been a pleasure to watch and made game fun past few weeks.
November 23, 2015 at 7:07 am #23966It may not be the first happy recap of the game, but it’s hopefully the best:

November 23, 2015 at 10:58 pm #23984A great little tidbit from the game, the 1st tackle, 1st catch and 1st touchdown were made by seniors: Palma and Knott!
November 23, 2015 at 11:51 pm #23991Sorry LU15 KNOTT caught the 2nd TD !!!
November 24, 2015 at 3:09 am #23997Many of the freshmen that were getting on the field for special teams (or any plays for that matter) will be the playmakers of tomorrow.
Andy would not have already put his faith in them in these important roles if he didn’t want to see how they could play at this level. TD’s are a rarity on kick-off or punt returns today, unless it’s a lousy low kick, and coverage is blown, and refs don’t call any penalties. 6-5, winning The Rivalry, and 4-2 in PL is a great turnaround and I’m convinced we are on the upswing. Time to prepare for Monmouth next September.November 24, 2015 at 3:16 am #23998Optimistic,talent there. Needs weight room and coaching. Can D staff put a cohesive unit capable of more than limited periods of good play? O has to fill some spots but they start at a pretty good level.
November 24, 2015 at 3:32 am #24000If we can ‘hold’ opponents next year to an average of 24 pts/ game, we should have a great season. Opponents are going to be hard-pressed to keep our offense under 30 points.
