Interesting stat. There are only 6 teams who are unscored upon this season. Miller with 17 saves has 5 more than the other 5 goalies.
The last time Lehigh began the year with 5 shutouts was 2005 during the Kafka/Lewandowski years.

Crazy unscored on streak, too – extending back to last year. You have the number?

The streak is at 380 min this season with Miller in goal. It is 453.57 min extending back to last year. That’s about 7-1/2 hours of soccer.
I think I’ll check out the game vs Binghamton tomorrow.

I know all the focus is on Lehigh-Villanova today but the Lehigh-Villanova matchup tomorrow (women’s soccer) may be appealing too.
Lehigh turned in it’s 5th shutout in a row last night to open the season. That is now 470 minutes without allowing a goal. As of Thursday, Lehigh was only 1 of 5 teams in the nation to be unscored upon. We have outscored our opponents 12-0 in that streak.
The attendance was listed as 323. The counter must have left early. There were a lot of students at the game, mostly athletes. Lehigh handed out noisemakers and they took full advantage of them. There was chanting and it was wonderfully loud and raucous.

Any insight on the quality of ‘nova’s women’s soccer? is this a step up for us?

Villanova soccer is kind of an enigma this year. They are 1-5 so far but 2 of their losses were to Top 10 teams (UNC and Minn) and another was to Princeton who also got votes.
The game will be shown online tomorrow at 6:00.
