August 18, 2014 at 10:53 pm #15089Were it not for Joyce’s picture of scrimmage,I might start to worry that I just dreamed it,lol. Hopefully some news will come in.
One bit ,Kelsey out with a hamstring. Not too serious.August 18, 2014 at 11:58 pm #15090Nice article by Joyce in Express.Only about QB competition. Nick apparently doing well. Matt a few weeks aaay from being 100%. Coen liked Poutier also. Timochenko got some reps with 2s. Otherwise a puff piece.

August 19, 2014 at 12:49 am #15092Thanks. My son keeps telling me how easy it is,yet I keep mucking it up. Better course to leave it to more competent hans:)

August 19, 2014 at 12:37 pm #15096Anither article by Joyce. Broader. Gist lots of minor injuries keeping a lot of players out, Palma,Yosha,Kee noted. Chris Leigh and Nick hilited.O seems to be progressing.

chip’s bit on Army,Navy games . I recall rumors last yr about Syracuse,Army and PSU negotiation. Should be interesting how Joe builds OOC. Admit I prefer the academies and CAA,SoCon mix with an occasional MAC. The changing landscape of college football may restrict cross division games.August 19, 2014 at 2:25 pm #15099I’m very interested to see how things progress with the academies and football. I read an article the other day, featuring Navy’s HC – and they are VERY concerned about their future. I think they are (rightly) worried about their ability to schedule FBS schools, and their constraints as service academies vs. what the Power 5 will be offering to their prospects.
With that in mind, I’m thinking our ability to schedule the academies might improve as a result. I also can’t help but wonder, given the changing environment, if the academies might end up FCS at some point in the future. While those might be good things for us, it’s also a bit sad given their history. My dad was USNA, so this hits close to home.August 19, 2014 at 5:14 pm #15101The Admirals and the Generals will not allow it to happen.
August 19, 2014 at 5:58 pm #15102Agree improbable. Navy AD is going to open with a PL team . Not shocked if Army follows suit.
August 19, 2014 at 7:57 pm #15110Who was the RB with the first team? Who do you all think will start at RB?
August 19, 2014 at 8:13 pm #15111Sodeke. Once Yosha healthy expect he will be in mix. Unless Sodeke has markedly improved he is a solid back but not likely to be a difference maker. Yosha can be. Leigh s/b in rotation with Kee as change of pace. How much we end up running hinges on OL. A question mark with loss of Douglas and Owens.
