The Red Flash have lost their last 4 – all on the road – by an average of 15 points/game. In fact, their only two wins this year have come at home and coincidentally over Patriot League opponents BU and CU. Here’s a look how they have done against the PL this year:

    Loss @ AU on 11/12 by 10
Won @home over Colgate on 11/15 by 3
    Loss @ LC on 11/17 by 5
Won @ home over Bucknell on 11/20 by 1

On the other side of the coin, this marks LU’s 5th game against members of the Northeast Conference, with wins over Wagner and Bryant but with losses to Monmouth and Quinnipiac.

I’m looking for Lehigh to continue their up-tempo play tonight, deserving of their 27th national ranking. They should be able to pressure the Red Flash into making mistakes – something the team from Loretto has done all too often this season, having turned the ball over more than their opponent in each of their last six games and have averaged 21 miscues over their last four. If somehow the game is in doubt late, I’m banking on LU to put the ball into CJ or Mackey’s hands with instructions to get to the line where they hit a comfortable .814 and .842 of their attempts, respectively. On the flip side, SFPA has recorded fewer free throws made than their opponents for the past six games.

Up next the Trojans of USC a week from Thursday. Coming off games at Kansas and at Tennessee, you can bet they’ll be glad to see a 6-5 (hopefully) Lehigh at the Galen Center.

Overheard from Clutch Hawk’s Facebook feed:

    "Wanna get away…from studying?

Fly ClutchWest Airlines with non-stop flights to Stabler Arena tonight for Lehigh men’s basketball when we take on the Red Flash of St. Francis! Tonight at 7!"

I like it! What’s the in-flight meal, though?
