    All aboard!

    Finally, the pre-season comes
to an end with a bus ride half-way to Cleveland to take on the Loretto, PA- based Red Flash of SFP. Whether we finish 5-5 in D-1 play or 4-6 is of little concern to me but hopefully of great concern to the Reed and Co. as they look to post what would be their third ROAD WIN of the year. Get used to the journey, Guys, the PL scheduling makers have you playing away from home in four of your first five contests beginning on December 29th.

Unlike many other bouts with the Red Flash in the past, this one may be a bit of a challenge facing an opponent with 4 in double-figures and a 5th guy, a 6’10” forward by the name of Deivydas Kuzavas, less than a point removed and touting .613 FG%. As a team, the Red Flash put up nearly 84 points per game and connects on 39+% of their threes. And, don’t think for one minute they’ll be in augh of us, having weathered the likes of Saint Mary’s, San Francisco, Louisville, Stony Brook and Duke. All in all, a stern test of our D awaits. A win would be nice.

Can we get some consistency on defense and play two good games in a row? Hoping the road dog takes a bite out of the Red Flash.

Will be a test for us. Key ,I agree, is D. So far team has shown stretches of good D. Their inconsistency however is frustrating. They lapse into extended periods of arm waving as opposed to feet moving. Weakside rotations become oops moments. Communication or lack of focus? No idea.

Curious to see if after his debut and another week + of practice, if Sedore is in the rotation or still slowly acclimating to game action. Some additional length and depth in the frontcourt could be a huge help.

Even if he can just give 5-10 minutes now in spot relief it will help.

I would not expect to see much of Caleb in this game. He still is not fully cleared to practice but is getting there.
