Fairly consistent. Another solid win this week at Holy Cross should get us in the Top 25. If the team plays anywhere close to last week, a win will be had. Kicking game needs to step it up a notch, though.

Lehigh needs to get into that top 25 to even have a remote chance getting a bye for the first round of the playoffs.

Love seeing some mention in the polls it has been a while. I refuse to get too excited or worry about a bye in the playoffs until after we beat HC. We have 3 road games all of which we can win. HC, if we play as well as Gate should be a win . Dont forget HC has had 2 weeks to prepare . Pards , regardless of record, will be very tough. THE GAME will save their season as it did for us the last 2 yrs. There are too many examples in the history of this rivalry of 3-7 beating 7-3 .

Interesting thread on Pard board citing info from Bucknell ;) that schollies have been approved and that coaches are already informing recruits.

A 9-2 record……..how about a bye on 11/27……..or maybe even a home game on 11/27 (and here we thought our seniors had played their last game at Goodman!)……….while we’re at it, let’s go with Colgate win this weekend over Lafayette……..or how about locking up the championship next weekend in DC……or maybe even Lum and Spadola comining for 4 td’s this weekend…………As fans we can dream big and get ahead of ourselves. It’s only natural and it’s fun, to boot. But, I’m with RichH on this one. We can’t get too excited. Here’s hoping, too, that every member of our coaching staff and player on the travel team has but one thought on their collective mind: Beat Holy Cross.

Highly unlikely that the Patriot League champ gets a bye in playoff week 1. Here is the selection and seeding approach:

In terms of selecting teams we’re going to select the 10 best teams in the country. So 10 will be selected via automatic qualification and the next 10 will be deemed by the committee to be the 10 best teams in the country. So once we have that group of 20, then we’ll go through the process of deciding of that group of 20 who are the five best in the country and then ranking them according to seeds 1 through 5.

The 12 best teams of the 20 will receive a first-round bye and the remaining eight teams will play a first-round game. They won’t have a number attached to them. In the bracket, they won’t be seeded in any way. But in effect they will be differentiated.

Patriot League champ will not make top 12 ranking, so first round game almost a certainty.

If we do win the league as I expect, a home game is very possible however. Schools bid for home games and Lehigh should be able to bid competitively for a game at Goodman. We need UMass to lose again, they could out bid us. And if Liberty could make the top 12, that would help since they would likely capture a home game bid. Should have some more clarity after this Saturday.

    Gotta beat HC of course!

    Let’s slow down, guys.

One play at a time, one game at a time. You’re starting to scare me with all the detail …

Three tough games ahead, starting with this week (duh).
