The next four games

Before Bucknell at Sojka:

at BU
Loyola
American
at Laf

Bucknell will obviously be tough. Playing three games in six days will also be tough. But this four game stretch are four very winnable games for the Mountain Hawks with three games played right here in the Valley.

This stretch will either have Lehigh vault back into the upper echelon, or doom them to the muddled middle of the league. They have to go 3-1, or, ideally, 4-0.

This. A lot. Can’t take ‘pards for granted on their court, but I agree that we should win AT LEAST 3 of these. ‘pards will chant “frosted tips” at Timmy, and “grandpa” at Goldy, and home crowd helps – it’s a proven fact. BU is a mystery team – have done good things, until PL season. We should beat them on their court.

Credit where credit is due. This team went 3-1 and very nearly made it 4-0 in this compressed 4-game schedule. They’ve played themselves into a 4-way tie for 2nd place in the Patriot League.

They still have an opportunity to sweep the season series vs. Navy and they’ve gone 1-1 version Loyola and BU.

Things feel like they’ve turned a corner. Will it be enough to challenge and beat Bucknell? Hard to say. But for the first time in months I’m feeling bullish.
