    Notes up.
    O unchanged.
D Kircher out Prendergast at 2 behind Lynn.
As healthy as we have been over the last month other than at TE.
Focus is a must for 60 minutes.

    GO LEHIGH

    “Who wants it more?”

On paper, we should win handily. They are a good defense and have nothing to lose. Emotion always important, especially early.

The big advantage? The Lafayette offense is pretty pitiful.

They may score more than usual, and we may not reach our PL average, but 31 – 17 sounds about right.

My biggest concern is protecting the football. Good chance at the moment for wet ball. “Morning showers followed by steady rain” I saw in the paper today. Can still change and hopefully will. I cannot ever recall a L-L game played in the rain and this will be my 47th!

Pouring rain 1967. two bad teams. We pushed them all over the field, but would fumble when we got close. About three minutes to go we fumble at about our 20. Rain stops. The team that obviously conspires with Satan takes the ball in to win 6-0

Yeah a soggy day. The young guys bitch about how bad we are now have not seen a truly bad team like those of the mid 60s.
Weather for Sat says spotty showers early afternoon. Heavier after 300 or so. Mid.to upper 40s

I hope we don’t go back to the gold helmets and pants for the 153rd!

I’m sure I’m in the minority, but I’d like to see the all-brown unis with the white helmets.

Gotta admit I am a gold helmet fan. Bottom line tho dont care what they don as long as we get the W.

    Just read this on Lehighsports.com

If Lehigh beats Lafayette, it will earn the Patriot League’s automatic bid to the FCS playoffs. The Mountain Hawks would learn their destination Sunday morning with first round action set for Saturday, November 25. A loss to Lafayette would end the Mountain Hawks’ season.

I guess the administration didn’t bother to even submit a bid to host a game :(

If Sauron and Voltemort have traveled to Easton, and the forces of good are vanquished, there would be a 3 way tie should (somehow) Georgetown defeat Colgate. I suspect there is no combination that would get us the tiebraker? Still we want G-town victory to gain a shot at the absolute PL title.

I think this is game No. 33 for me, though I might have gone in 1965 not 1967, because I remember no rain games.

Hate to admit I’d rather deal with near-freezing than cold rain.

Lafayette will pull the upset: 29 – 21.

John Garrett has been sending Lehigh game films to his brother in Dallas all season.

We can always lose if we dont show up. Pards have run a vanilla O all year. Will he go to changing up for Sat? Trick plays? Dont know. If he stays vanilla we could shut them out. Pard D is quite good. Our O will not have a cakewalk but we will score.

I don’t trust which Lehigh D will show up Saturday…if at all. As always our game and year rests on the backs of 18-22 year old Defensive players.

I was reading about the final, 1987, Cold Taylor Stadium game on AGS, where I have never bothered to get posting privilege(I am on too many forums already)

Anyway folks were talking about the Crowd, how everyone left and there were only a few hundred people left at game end. Not quite the way i remember it. Yeah people were leaving, early and often. My guess, well over 100 an hour. As the third quarter ended I looked around, and guessed 2000 left at the most. But then people started to return. My guess, at the end, no more than 1000 seats open on the Lehigh Side. Even a lot of folks returned to the Laf side, until we got back the lead. How do others remember it? Yeah, no re-admission was the official policy, but I am sure someone said “let’s ignore it”.

Cold was not a big bother to me then. I was Backpacking the weekend(about 5 years earlier) Kreider led the Bengals into the super bowl over San Diego, 59 below Windchill in Cincy 52 below near Harrisburg. – “There is no such thing as inclement weather, only poor clothing choices”.
