    Yeah he had a huge year, and could be up for POY in state of ‘zona.

    Also, posted photo on scale and is now over 230 lbs…so could reasonably get to campus at 235+ as a freshman!

    Kempton won ‘Zona Prep POY award last night, not sure if this is a state wide best mens player or just a state wide prep player, but an award nonetheless.

    Have seen enough of this kid to say, he should be an impact player next year, barring any unforeseen issues. Has great hands, can stroke it and has the frame to put on the needed weight to bang on the block. Could be a more skilled version of Gabe.

    It’s great to see recruits have huge senior seasons, as Kempton did.  Pretty exciting to think about the front court the next few years.  If Kempton can be the skilled, big-body anchor with JG, SW, and JC flying around using their athleticism to rebound, defend, and get out on the break – that sounds pretty fun.

    Avgrenn – I never try to take exact wordings “literally” for what the mean, but in this case I have to ask more about what you mean with regards to your post above when you said “Have seen enough”…only reason I ask is because no one on here has been able to get their hands on any video of Kempton, outside of a football tape,and no one on here as seen him live. If you’ve done either of those, please share videos or thoughts…whwat you said is spot on with all I’ve read, so I’m just hoping you have some video to share perhaps. Thanks man.

    How is it a lot of people were calling this guy the best player in Arizona, yet he makes second team from a paper that only covers the Phoenix area and not the whole state?  I realize that Phoenix area is probably the whole state, but why not first team?  4 juniors on first team, by the way.

    Agree that it is strange to be some folks state POY and yet 2nd team in a single paper.  I wouldn’t read into it too much though.  Tim had a huge year statistically, and has gotten some very positive media attention.

    Also, the 4 other guys on the second team include a senior committed to Colorado and 3 D1 jrs.  So he is in good company.

    Tim Kempton was named Arizona Div1 Second Team. Interestingly, the entire 1st Team was juniors.
