Lafayette loses by 15 at Princeton. Mower held to 9 points.

Army loses at home to NJIT by 1.

Maryland – Eastern Shore beats Navy by 13. They are at Stabler later on.

Bucknell loses close game by 4 at George Mason. Cohen/Johnson combine to shoot 0-13 from the field and 0-7 from 3. Ayers has big game, and now shooting a healthy 54% from 3 from the season.

Hopefully, Lehigh gets an A-10 win tonight. Season shaping up to be a two horse race (Lehigh/Bucknell), with maybe some token resistence from American, but doubtful. They already lost to Quinnipiac at home and UMES (who apparently is feasting on the PL early on). Colgate looks soft, and Holy Cross is spotty. They beat BC, but they are really bad, and played Providence tough on road, but lot of double digit loses to mediocre competition.

This would have been the year to have Harvard on the schedule. They look really strong.

I think you’re discounting Holy Cross far too quickly. They really only have one double digit loss to mediocre competition (Maine). Their other three losses were:

    – at College of Charleston, who Pomeroy ranks at #96 in the nation; CoC already beat Clemson and just beat UMass by 24 pts.

    – Harvard, who is ranked #30; recently won a tournament by beating Utah, Florida State, and UCF three straight days; their game w/ HC was tight until they pulled away with 9 minutes left for a 9-point win.

    – at Fairfield, who is ranked #104; its only bad loss was to Providence; had a good win over Arizona State; clearly one of the MAAC’s top two teams.

Right now, Pomeroy has HC ranked as the #3 PL team and I would agree with that. They have played all year without the injured Cavataio and he should make a difference when he returns.

Fair enough, they lost by 9 (not double digits) to Harvard and CoC. Harvard will be Top 20 this season.

But, they lost at Maine by 12. Maine has only one other win against a team called ME Machias, who by the looks of the score (113-49) might be a pre-school, and they got blown out at Fairfield by 21. Holy Cross has only one other win, other than beating BC, and that was against winless Hartford.

I guess they belong top 4 by default, but there is not much competition in the PL.
