Game Notes
KenPom Prediction
Lehigh (3-3 in D-1) – Ranked 189th
@
UVA (7-0 in D-1) – Ranked 4th
UVA wins by 22 (75-53)Sounds about right when you consider………..
UVA beat Monmouth by 20 (73-53) while Monmouth beat us by 8 (80-72)
UVA has the Nation’s Top (#1) Defense in terms of PPG @ 50.1
UVA has the Nations’s 10th best 3pt D @ 25.0%
UVA is coming off a 12 point win over 35th ranked Wisconsin
Any hope of keeping this to a single-digit setback – as far fetched as it might be – would be for our 3’s (I mean all of them) to fall and for UVA to (1) give their bench plenty of extra minutes (today, it’s 34%) and (2) get caught looking ahead to their game on Tuesday against 13th ranked, University of West Virginia.

Other than 2 10-0 runs in 1st half we played even up with UVA. Very impressed overall by all 4 Gs. Hell of a game.Side note but could be important. Lieb played.

Side note but could be important. Lieb played.[/quote]I don’t think so. He was in a suit.
Leufroy struggled quite a bit but Tejada was excellent.

Favorite Statistics
Andree’s 8 boards. He can be our 3 point specialist, but we’ll need more of this.
Our 3’s…41.7% vs. Nation’s 10th best at
defending the 3 @ 25%13,584 attendance…relatively unphased by a sometimes hostile crowd…doubt we’ll see more
Cohen’s 7 boards…despite poor shooting performance….seems to always find a way to help
Hats off to Mr.Pomeroy who missed the outcome by 1 point. He had it 75-53. Actual was 75-54
Here’s hoping for a good turnout on Wednesday when we host YALE. Team deserve it.
December 2, 2017 at 10:42 pm #33160The more I see of this squad , the more impreesed I am by their cohesion. We are actually seeing a team this year. Andree actually getting rebounds. Karnick was a little phased by crowd 1st half but he settled in well in the 2nd. Hopefully Caleb S will be ready soon to help K and Porter inside. Dang looking forward to this year. No disappointed expectations, as I didnt have any.

probably only played even when Cavs were playing uninspired, we turned the ball over way way too muchDecember 3, 2017 at 1:31 am #33162Did not see any of the game so my comments only in passing, but……………. Final box & score are not the debacle I feared (see Lafayette v. Villanova) and not the 4 point game I hoped for, but…………… Definitely an effort to build on. We got beat, but not a total blow out. In hostile environment, against the leading defensive team as mentioned above. UVa had to show up and play a legitimate mid-major opponent. In summary, I am also encouraged with the progress.
Question on Sedore for anyone in the know: Is he sitting ’cause he is not physically ready, or is this a “coaching decision”? If I could get to the game I’d ask the usher I have gotten to know. He’s been at Stabler forever and always has the inside scoop……
December 3, 2017 at 1:38 am #33163Not quite ready. Am told he is close tho.
December 3, 2017 at 4:03 am #33164Yea jack was in a suit he didn’t play. That’s must be a mistake
December 3, 2017 at 12:02 pm #33165Typo. It should’ve listed Wilson.
