Great analysis by "TheFan." It looks like this might not be the week. But some of those teams ahead of Lehigh have 4 losses so maybe 7-2 gets enough voters’ attention that Lehigh squeaks in. Beat Georgetown and win the PL title next weekend and poll rankings really won’t matter

Give #25 to Robert Morris in recognition of their win yesterday over CCSU. This morning’s headline in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review says it all:

Robert Morris gets first-ever bid to FCS playoffs

Congrats to the Colonials for capturing the first-ever auto-bid to the playoffs out of the NEC!

Maybe Lehigh will have to wait a week to break into the Top 25. But, then again, maybe not. But, one thing is for sure…….with a win next week in D.C., you’ll see a lot of people calling for an RMU/LU matchup at Goodman on Thanksgiving weekend.

LU65, is there something to the Lehigh/RMU history that would make a matchup specially meaningful?

    Re: LU/RMU matchup

Honestly, it just seems like a natural……..two small PA schools from the 19th and 22nd ranked conferences in America whose power ratings, on top of all that, are quite similar. In fact, if RMU traveled to LU this weekend, Sagarin would install the Colonials as a one point favorite. The winner would undoubtedly get one of the top two teams in the CAA on the second weekend of play.

How is the first round home team chosen for the FCS playoffs?

I believe you had to bid for home games in prior years. Assume it is the same this year.

Well, Grambling lost to unranked Texas Southern last night. That should open the door for a #25 ranking for us, assuming we win at G town.
